Took my son here for a speech eval. Everyone was super nice, professional, and they gave us very specific recommendations based on our kiddo. They didn't try to sell us anything and there was very honest. I would highly recommend!

Please don't go here and sign any forms they provide. They will bill you beyond what is covered by your health insurance. They are extremely awful business and you will be screwed. They take your credit card info. and bill whatever amount they choose without your knowledge and approval. Please don't go here! I made the mistake and now I am paying for it! Please don't let that happen to you!

Unfortunate, google doesn't allow me to rate less than 1 star. Please be vigilant while giving your credit card info, possibility of financial fraud exists. They just deducted around $450 from my credit card. While i approached them, they mentioned that we didn't charge your credit card. However after i filed a credit card transaction dispute, SLP returned the entire amount.

We did not set up this Yelp account, nor were we notified that this review was posted. This consumer accused my practice of unethical business practices. Ironically, she came to our practice because we were one of the few who accepted her insurance. She accused us of billing for services not rendered--not true. Her child received an evaluation and a second evaluation at her request to look at an additional aspect of language. Unfortunately, we can only bill for evaluation one time. So the second evaluation was billed as therapy (at our expense). She accused us of not pre-authorizing the service--also not true. We do this for every patient even when the insurance company says we do not have to.The patient's insurance company used a "toe in the water" approach and decided after several visits to not cover services. I did a peer to peer review with the insurance Company's Medical Director and was told the issue was medical necessity. They would not cover her child's therapy because mother's policy had changed through her employer, providing only limited coverage that did not include the diagnosis. We did not continually change a diagnosis. Mother asked us us to try using a diagnosis used by her neurologist. We contacted the neurologist who sent us the code. Unfortunately, the insurance company still did not cover. The $65 the patient refers to was her copay. We went to court for $376.38, not $65. The patients's insurance company took back our reimbursements and told  us to get them directly from the patient. This was a very unhappy patient who had been to other clinics and did not want to pay out of pocket for her child's services.She refused to acknowledge the changes in her insurance policy. Over the course of 18 years, we've had a handful of patients who either don't understand their insurance coverage or don't want to pay their bills. We have all billing and clinical notes in our archive and can prove that we actually provided better service than we had to or should have. Unfortunately, Yelp doesn't care about the effects a bad review can have on a business. This review was particularly slanderous and Yelp refused to contact us or remove it five years later.

My son has been seeing Stacy for over two years now and we are Extremely happy with his progress. Also, he is legally blind and they went through great lengths to customize how they evaluate him and how they work with him. He LOVES going to speech!
