It's been 5 years since Dr. Safain performed surgery on my neck (3 rods, 6 screws) to pull my discs away from my spine. I could walk without shooting pain within 3 weeks for the first time in years. I got to meet him a few times before I went into Tufts, briefly in the hospital, and at my final check-up. A very nice man, but more importantly, he excels at what in does (in my opinion). His skills are incredible. That's the bottom line for me...I hope he reads this

Dr. Safain was extremely thorough when reviewing imaging and telling me about my options for both surgery and other options.

Dr Safain recently performed a fusion of a couple of vertebrae and stabilized my lower spine...that was 4 months ago and I have to say, the results have left me feeling 20 years younger...I play pickle ball, bike and hike without any of my old symptoms...I am pain free!!! Dr Safain is welcoming, explained everything in detail, and above all, was a great listener..(to me, the best quality a doctor could possess.) His P.A. Ran is equally wonderful and the entire staff made this ordeal a cake walk. Thanks to all of you for giving me my active life back I am 68 years young!

Dr took a lot of time explaining my condition and treatments. Did not recommend surgery but gave me multiple options for getting me help.

Dr. Safain called me right back even on a weekend. He takes a lot of time explaining things. I appreciate that a lot. Very good surgeon and his PA Ran Ku and assistant Gloria are awesome too!
