Great, informed, caring service -- once I finally saw Dr. Freitag. But it took 2 hours. No exaggeration. Waited 1/2 hour to see an intake nurse or PA, another 45 minutes to see a fellow. And a full 2 hours to see Dr. Freitag. No apology was offered. How is this OK? They had my cell phone # and could easily call to tell me to delay my arrival. This isn't hard. Just disrespectful.

I went to see Dr. Freitag for a blocked tear duct. She and her team listened to me, tested and verified what I was reporting. We're moving quickly to get it fixed.

I had a very poor experience with this professional. She arrived totally unprepared for my appointment and made inappropriate personal comments during the visit as well. She wasn’t up front and honest about her capabilities and led me to to believe she could do something she wasn’t capable of. It took almost 3 months and MANY phone calls on my end for someone from her office to tell me I was “too high risk” of a patient—which is completely opposite of what she told me during my office visit.

I was referred to Dr Freitag by my ophthalmologist who specializes in uveitis, and she was spot on perfect for my condition. I am grateful to have her care.

Appreciated her expertise, certainly, but also her listening and the clarity of her explanations.

As always, my visit was helpful and informative. The staff is courteous and professional. I am always amazed at how eager all are to answer wuestions and address any concerns

Skilled, conscious, patient focused, and highly invested in ensuring the best outcome for each and every patient. I recently saw Dr. Freitag for ptosis (droopy eyelid) repair procedure. The outcome was so good that it's impossible to tell that any surgical procedure was ever performed and there were absolutely no post-operative complications. One could not find a more proficient, caring, committed, highly skilled ophthalmic plastic surgeon in the Boston area. No wonder Dr. Freitag was selected to be the Editor in Chief for the peer reviewed medical journal Orbit.

Dr. Freitag is wonderful.

Yelp is hardly the source for medical procedure opinions but while ranking a recent restaurant visit (great food and service), I could not ignore the other review. That said, I had a ptosis procedure performed recently and could not be more satisfied for the following reasons- everyone involved was diligent, strictly followed every medical protocol without exception ( both pre and COVID associated ) - dr Freitag explained everything from start to finish to alleviate any potential surgical associated patient anxiety (none here but clearly well thought out and executed)- while patient visit waiting times seemed long at times, this reflects sufficient time and attention devoted to each patient rather than "lounging around" time. I'm sure that dr Freitag has no desire to lengthen her workday any longer than necessary- deep thinking and extensive experience/ reflection on the best clinical approach could be interpreted as distanced or uncaring but that is not an accurate situation assessmentSo I wish folks would think twice before writing these opinions. Whether taught in law school, business, or in life words, once written an disseminated, cannot be undone. We are dealing with an md whose career is potentially affected by such comments so greater thought and deliberation are appropriate before publishing. Best to leave yelp opinions for restaurants and speak to the medical staff directly if you are concerned , disappointed, or have any doubts about either treatment or outcome

Excellent surgeon. Listens to the patient, methodically analyses the situation, and discusses both alternatives and implications in clearly understood language. Compassionate , empathetic, and committed are traits they come to mind. I’m a bit surprised by previous critical reviews , especially involving ptosis procedures as my surgery went flawlessly, from start to finish. Dr Freitag’s style reflected deeply thinking about implications and approaches rather than bring “self focused “. The appointment delays result from dr Freitag investing the time necessary for each patient rather than for her convenience. Dr Freitag’s bedside manners is superb and don’t underestimate how committed she is to each patient’s positive outcome. I therefore recommend dr Freitag without hesitation for any ophthalmic procedure
