I was referred to Dr. Stryjewski for a consultation for vitrectomy surgery by my regular ophthalmologist (who also happened to be a colleague of his) in April of this year. I was extremely anxious about having potential surgery due to other underlying eye conditions that could potentially cause retina detachment or complications. Dr. Stryjewski immediately put my mind at ease with his explanation of the surgery and his reassurance that the surgery itself was not as risky as it once had been, and that I should have excellent results. I put me trust in his knowledge and experience and decided to have the surgery at Mass Eye and Ear. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience at Mass Eye and Ear and the excellent care I received by Dr. Stryjewski’s surgical staff, and the staff at his office. My surgery experience was totally pain free and extremely successful. After living with a very large dark floater in my right eye for nearly a year (the eye I mainly rely on for my vision) which had greatly affected my ability to read, write and drive, I was finally able to have my life back. I can now read and write, cut veggies or fruit, and perform other close up tasks so much easier and with much more confidence. The VERY BEST result from the surgery is now I can confidently drive again without having my vision obstructed and/or distorted. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Stryjewski for his extremely excellent care and expertise.

Dr Stryjewski is not only a talented doctor, he is kind and caring. He goes above and beyond to ensure his patients receive the best care. We wish all doctors had his work ethic and bedside manner. We are very grateful to him for all he has done to repair my husband's detached retina.

My husband recently had a major infection in his eye which required an emergency visit to Boston. and we knew that because he had given us a number to reach him at if symptoms got worse. It was a weekend and he never hesitated. He explained what was going on thouroughly and then did surgery a few days later. It turned out that he could have lost sight in that eye permanently if he had not been seen so quickly. Also, my husband was resistent to more than one of the antiiotics so it was a difficult and fairly rare occurance. I would recommend him very sincerely to anyone with a retinal issue - he was so sincerely concerned and easy to talk to. Five stars!

Excellent doctor! Dr. Stryjewski is amazing. He goes above and beyond to make sure his patients receive the best care possible. He stays up-to-date on the latest procedures and explains things so you can understand them. His bedside manner is amazing and he treats his patients with care and respect. I met some of his other patients in the waiting room and they expressed the same feeling. We are fortunate to have him for a doctor. We are very grateful and wish all of our doctors had his knowledge and empathy.

I could not be more pleased with the treatment I received from Dr. Stryjewski on several occasions. When my retina needed immediate care, he made himself available for emergency laser surgery. Each follow up appointment has been on time and professional. I have been a patient at Tallman Associates for 30+ years, first with Carter Tallman and now Dr. Kwon and Stryjewski.

I cannot find the words to express my gratitude to this wonderful man. He repaired a serious eye issue with his gifted hands and wonderful caring bed side manner. I have been seeing Doctor Stryjewski for several months for Macular Degeneration. At the beginning, he said my eye was bleeding badly. Now four months later, it is almost normal. He is gentle, caring and clearly very talented. I am lucky to have found him.
