List of Nancy L Cooper's Reviews
Nancy Cooper is the best PCP I have ever been to. She is kind ,thoughtful and thorough. She saved me when my gallbladder was in serious shape. She made sure that the emergency room did extra tests for gallbladder infection.. Sure enough it was an emergency. If Nancy hadn’t been my advocate I don’t know what would have happened. The best!
Her office almost never calls back. Dr Cooper is not responsive either
I've been a patient of Dr. Cooper's for over two years now. In addition to my annual physicals I've had to see her for separate issues that have come up. At each of my appointments she has been thorough, pleasant, and has listened to my concerns. She has also provided appropriate follow-up. I highly recommend Dr. Cooper as a primary care physician.
When I got very sick requiring my PCP attention, instead of listening, she send me to an urgent care center instead. She attempt to unload her PCP responsibility to another facility. When she prescribe the meds with wrong calculated amount (I am pharmacist by training) and I called her office to make a correction she won't do it. I then have to go to my CVS ask the CVS pharmacist provide a writing notes showing her the exact calculation to obtain the right amount of prescription for three month fill. She won't change it. In the end, the Pharmacist have to call her office directly and I have to visit the office and talking with the office manager and finally got the right prescription.
If there is minus star, I would have gave her a -5. She is my PCP for past 2-3 years, after my PCP of 15 years retired. I have history of turning a cold to a bad pneumonia. I just had a cold at end of last week then accompanied with low fever daily over the last weekend with bad congestion. I managed to get an appointment to see Dr Cooper on Monday. She did nothing, no X-ray & tests, nor meds. On Wed I communicated with Dr. Cooper via patient portal informing her my fever persist daily & very congested. She did not bother to respond until Friday, a week after my start of fever, her nurse called me back (not her). I reiterate my fever and congestion, cough situation and request a X-ray order before the weekend. But Dr. Cooper decides to not order me a lung X-ray to see if I got pneumonia again, rather she wants push me out to go urgent care center which I have no relationship with. She does not care! Last summer I had similar situation, she did exactly the same. Worst PCP!!
I went to Dr Cooper over several years and will be looking for a new dr. since my new insurance should have more choices. I realize that PCPs don't have a lot of time with patients nowadays but, while Dr Cooper seems competent, she didn't display any bit of caring and compassion. She was dismissive and unsupportive of my interest in alternative medicine and a minor cosmetic surgical procedure.
Listens well and gives thoughtful feedback.
I have enjoyed visiting Dr. Cooper and tracking several of my mid life ailments. I believe she is a good communicator and, importantly, a good listener.
I think Dr Cooper is conscientious and competent, but I agree with other reviewers who say she doesn't communicate well with patients. In my experience, too, she can be argumentative, doesn't really listen well, and tends to focus on her computer rather than the patient (couldn't records be reviewed *before* the appointment begins?). She seems preoccupied fairly often, and conveys an attitude of rigidity about the correct way to proceed with treatment. Not great at responding to questions and doesn't appear to welcome them. Too bad, because I do think she cares.
Nancy Cooper is always frazzled, argumentative and short tempered. Does not like answering questions and seems too busy trying to capture her notes. I will not be going to her anymore. Someone else wrote the below, which is exactly how I felt at the visits. “Not a very nice woman, didn't address any of my concerns, very argumentative, will not go back to her. I'm glad my life is not in her hands”

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
