Dear Mr Paul Gryska. Thank you for saving my life. You were and You are the best. I walked in to Newton-Wellesley Hospital ER with PPU (Perforated Peptic Ulcer). I can’t talk, I can’t breathe… I didn’t realize but I needed emergency surgery. Dr. Gryska had a class at that time. He asked if his students can present at the surgery (PPU is very rare). I didn’t mind. The next week he visited me with his students every day, being very caring and considerate. I remember everything like it was yesterday… Thank you for all that You are and everything You did. Sincerely, Anton D.

Unnecessarily put my mother through three breast cancer surgeries in a very short period of time when a total mastectomy was the proper and correct option. Callous disregard for patient’s perspective and demonstrably incompetent @ accurate and effective diagnosis, resulting in additional surgeries. Stay away.

From the time I first met Dr Gryska I felt comfortable. I sensed his caring and warm nature, as well as his being very knowledgeable. It is very important for me to trust and respect my Drs and to feel respected by them. I feel blessed to have been referred to and operated on by him. Thank you Dr G. Also just to make note-I am also impressed and pleased with the welcoming nature of the desk and nursing/medical assistants.

I went about 10 years with an umbilical hernia. I visited several doctors all of which explained they would use the mesh, which is because its an easy repair. I searched online for hernia no mesh repair and found Dr. Gryska. From the initial office visit I was very impressed. During the consult I asked about the method and about mesh. He replied he uses mesh as a tool when needed, he prefers to stitch the muscle and if the opening is too large that's when he uses mesh. It's refreshing to see a doctor that doesn't refer to the "easiest" method, but the best method. His bedside manner is excellent and his entire staff and nursing staff at NWH was nothing less than exceptional. I waited longer than I should have for the procedure, but definitely feel like it was worth the wait. I also found that several people I know had different surgical procedures done by him and the feedback they gave was much like mine Stellar!

Dr Gryska was the 3rd doctor to operate on my hernia, and this time it looks like the surgery was successful. I am very happy with the results. He is an excellent surgeon with lots of experience and a great bedside manner. Highly recommend.

Dr. Gryska is a great surgeon with a BIG heart and an awesome sense of humor. Very knowledgeable with many years of experience! He made extremely difficult health situation less stressful for my father and our family. He saved my father life. The colon surgery went very well with an easy recovery. Highly recommended! L.Z.
