I get a call the day before scheduled appointment that the doctor is not credentialed with my insurance and to reschedule for when he will be credentialed and she booked me the following week. On the morning of my afternoon appointment, I tried calling for 2 HOURS to try to get through to speak with someone to confirm time and if any insurance issues. They clearly prefer voicemail so do not expect same-day response. I get there and of course he’s still not credentialed. I’m not sure how the doctors’ level of care is but the front desk/admin team does not give me any confidence in hoping to receive high quality care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shroff-Mehta's for over 15 years. She is a highly skilled and knowledgeable physician with a wonderful and friendly presence about her. I was recently in need of immediate attention for blisters on both hands resulting from a very odd and unusual form of dermatitis. I called the office at 9am and was in front of Dr. Shroff-Mehta by Noon. She addressed my concerns and had me patched up and on my way. Two days later I heard from Michelle, an office nurse following up on my visit. Michelle was wonderful. Friendly and reassuring. I have always had a very positive experience with Dr. Shroff-Mehta and the support staff at South Shore Dermatology. I would recommend her and South Shore Dermatology without exception.

Went for a skin physical had to remove clothes and put a johnny on. Once that was done I took a seat in the chair and waited for the doctor. The johnny was short sleeve and the chair had armrest. After the doctor completed her exam I got dressed and left. As I was leaving the parking lot both arms became itchy on the spots where they rested on the chair's armrest. By the time I got home I had full blown poison ivy on both arms. I called the office to explain what happened and let them know that chair needed cleaning so it wouldn't happen to someone else. Within a few minutes I got a call back from the doctor herself claiming it did not happen as a result of visiting their office. I explained to her that when I arrived I was wearing a long sleeve and removed it to put the short sleeve johnny on. She became very rude and indignant and insisted it did not happen at their office. I then asked her to call in a prescription for me to stop the itching. She refused to do it without me first coming in again for another appointment (45 minute ride one way) which I refused to do. Luckily, I was able to get a prescription called in by my primary care. A simple thank you for letting us know and a prescription was all that was needed instead I got attitude. Needless to say they lost a longtime patient.
