Have been seeing this endocrinologist for over 2 years. I have small fiber sensory neuropathy. He had never heard of this autoimmune disease. You would think that an endocrinologist that specializes in diabetic Care would know! When I go to see him and say something about it he asks again what is it. You would think that he would do some research and be educated about this disease

Please don't waste your time with this doctor. You will not be happy as he seems to not be very knowledgeable about his patients problems.

My experience with Dr. John Nicasio has been exceptional. Though I must add that the Cooley Dickinson system often lacks empathy and consideration in other services and with other patients needs.

Dr. Nicasio has been a bad experience for me as a transgender patient. He has misgendered me frequently, then acted like he had no idea I was transgender and asked questions that are completely unacceptable to ask members of the transgender community. His care has not been consistent. He does not remember what we discussed in our previous appointments. I am looking for a new provider. If you are a transgender patient needing anything related to endocrinology do not see this provider!
