List of MIchael Bigby's Reviews
Competent, but unengaging "bedside" manner.
Professional, to the point, and understood my issue well
My PCP insists that I get a mole check every 1-2 years because of prior abnormal mole history. He says that's a ridiculous reason to come. I mention facial acne, what other meds I've been using, etc and he gets up to leave the room without saying anything. He comes back with a picture printout of suggested otc products (which I had just said I tried), and after I declined he tells me he's going to send something to my pharmacy. Then he left to see the next patient without any further direction.
Waited over an hour for 9 am appointment. Apparently the patient's time isn't important.
He is a brilliant diagnostician.
Bad. So so so so bad.
Hmmm... it's very difficult to explain my experience with Dr. Bigby. It was super strange. I've never felt so rushed and "uncared" for during a doctor visit before. Yes, sometimes you feel like a doctor is all about business (or about getting your money and letting you go on your way), but with Dr. Bigby it was more than that. I felt like he could care less about my issue and like I was wasting his time. I'm sure he's an expert in his field and can make quick assessments of someone's condition, but he would do himself and his patients a lot of good if he improved upon his bedside manners.I don't like to judge people on first impressions, maybe he was having a bad day... I'm not about to find out. Needless to say, I now frequent a different dermatologist...
I went to see Dr. Bigby a while ago for my scalp and skin condition. Mr. Bigby was not attentive to my needs and did not seem interested in what I had to say and assumed he knew what the issue was with my scalp without even testing anything or taking a look at. When I asked if I can show him the issue I was having with my skin he declined to see what I was talking about, which was odd to me. As such, my skin issue was never addressed and for my scalp he prescribed a shampoo that did not work. Luckily the skin condition went away on its own but I am currently looking for a dermatologist to see about my scalp as i am still having a issue with that. Mr. Bigby is also not personable at all!
Dr. Bigly is a thorough kind physician. he is a little shy at first, but gives thought to the care he provides. he is current with all recent and older studies. he explains a course of treatment thoroughly.he has a dry sense of humor and many interests.
Dr Bigby accurately diagnosed a condition that had been misdiagnosed, with traumatic and harrowing repercussions in my life. He is professional, congenial, caring, superbly trained and obviously in possession of a brilliant medical mind. He works quickly, not because he doesn't care, but because he's bright, well trained, and accurate.I find these reviews to be partially misleading and would entrust Dr Bigby with any necessary diagnosis. He does have an engaging sense if humor, but he is not a time-waster.You want to schmooze------call your BFF on your cell. You want an excellent dermatologist, consult this doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
