MIriam Kravitz's Online Review Report Card

If you’re like me, having to see a dermatologist is not among your favorite activities. That’s why I recommend Dr. Miriam Kravitz to all my friends. She and her staff are beyond professional and competent. The added benefit is that they are caring, compassionate, and friendly. The whole vibe of the office reduces stress and makes any procedure performed there easier – even pleasant. That’s an intangible and invaluable benefit that sets her practice apart from many others. Dr. Kravitz gets my highest recommendation.

I have had a number of full body scans by various dermatologists over the years. Recently, I became a patient of dr Kravitz and had a full body scan. By far, this was the most careful, comprehensive body scan I ever had. She identified three areas of concern, showed me pictures of the areas and explained why she needed to biopsy them. She asked if I had questions or concerns and didn’t rush me. Her assistant, Jen, was equally helpful. She explained how I should care for the areas and gave me written instructions. I’m so glad my husband recommended Dr Kravitz to me as he is also her patient.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kravitz for years. Showed up for my 9 AM appt. today, expecting to be seen for what looks like a suspicious dermatological development, as well as routine exam. I told the receptionist that I had new insurance, Tufts, which showed as accepted by Dr. Kravitz office. The receptionist told me that it is not accepted and that they do not accept self-pay. I asked if she was kicking me out and she said "yes". Have never experienced such an unprofessional disgrace.

I had a blue light treatment back in June, and I was NOT looking forward to it after seeing others' experiences on youtube videos, so not pleasant. My husband had it done before me, and he had a similar result to the videos I had watched. But my experience was much less severe. I had what looked like a sunburn on my face. I had no pain, just drying and peeling. Do not be afraid if you are getting this done. The results depend on the amount of sun damage you have experienced.

Dr. Kravitz is a superb dermatologist - thorough, acutely observant, knowledgeable about the latest diagnostic and treatment protocols, and well respected and connected should a patient need a referral to a specialist surgeon (as I did). The office staff is helpful, pleasant, accommodative and professional. The office itself is new construction, immaculately clean, and outfitted with "the latest" equipment and furnishings.

Dr. Kravitz is very knowledgeable, professional and thorough- after going for my first skin cancer screening with her, I would trust no one else. I've also had several facial laser treatments which were highly effective and I'm thrilled to have a dermatologist on the Cape that rivals the high priced doctors in Boston. Dr. Kravitz's office is state of the art and immaculate - her staff very friendly and highly professional.

I visited Orleans Dermatology and saw Dr Kravitz about three years ago. I was treated for sun damaged skin with Levulan and light therapy and have been very happy with the results. Since then, I had a rapidly appearing growth removed by Dr Kravitz. I have never had a more thorough exam than the one done by Dr Kravitz-(thorough is reassuring when being scanned for skin cancer). I'm about to make another appointment and am happy to see she still has stellar reviews.

Upon arriving I was greeted by a very pleasant staff who made me feel right at home. I waited a short time(maybe 15-20 minutes) before meeting Dr. Kravitz. She was very knowledgable and helpful while she took the time to answer all of my questions. My biopsy went as well as it could have and I felt the work was very precise/subtle while effective. I have just read the prior reviews and am shocked that someone could be suprised by the method of payment/insurance compensation when it was clearly explained to myself when I made the appointment. It sounds as if the reviewer was dissapointed that their biopsy came back cancer free! I for one was glad when I received my good news. Dr. Kravitz is the best I've encountered in the business and her new office provides a top notch practice in a convenient location to anyone on the Lower Cape.

I was referred to Miriam Kravitz/Orleans Dermatology by my primary care Dr for the evaluation and removal of a suspicious looking mole. I knew I would have to pay out of pocket for the excision and file for reimbursement from my insurance company because the practice does not file with insurance companies for payment. I was relieved to get an appointment immediately without waiting weeks, or months. I found Dr Kravitz to be friendly, professional and skilled (my biopsy site healed with minimal scarring). The staff was calming and friendly and prepared me for my exam/excision. My insurance information was sent with my biopsy to the lab by Orleans Dermatology, and the lab work for the biopsy was covered. I have only praise for my experience with Dr Kravitz. I needed a growth removed quickly and biopsied and I got that. I am returning to Dr Kravitz for a full exam since I did not have enough time to book more than the excision for my initial visit.

Greeted and felt very welcome and valued by front desk, asked for insurance cards and given registation. Asked why they need insurance I understood they are self pay, no insurance accpeted but if a biopsy was sent to the lab they do accept insurance. Waited almost 1 hour before seeing "Dr." really Nurse Practioner with a doctorate. Miriam was pleasant but her assistant was having issues with tabet the use. Way complete exam..too personal. 2 biopsies taken. Appointment lasted nearly 1 hour. One week later got call biopsies were negitive, no cancer. Recieved bill from lab this week, biopsies weren't covered. Check with insurance company, since practice is self pay Miriam is out of network, so refused to pay for anything she ordered. Lab bill nearly $700.00! Check with insurance before seeing her, my visit cost over $1000.00 to here I was fine.
