From the first meeting with Dr Galster in his office before my surgery date. He was quite down to earth on the procedure and what to expect during and after. He tells you like it is and what risk that are involved if you don't do like the doctor orders. After surgery he expressed ice, ice and more ice to help decrease the swelling and speed up on the recovery process. After surgery, I had little to no pain and little swelling, which the ice took care of. Within three days I was up and about with no complications to note as if this writting.

I had an very good experience with Dr Galster despite my being in an emergency situation. Dr Galster removed my gallbladder and I'm feeling so much better.

I was not told about a procedure that was going to happen to me once I was sedated. It was a blanket procedure, so I should of known. It has really upset me almost three months after surgery. I did not have much control of the entire situation, but I had every right to know about this and express my patient rights. I was not even told and I should of been at my consultation. There could of been serious risks that could of happened and if woke up with issues I would not know why because no one told me. It is not just the surgery to take out the problem it is the entire process. I was trusting and vulnerable and could not stand up for myself. I should not be the last person to find out something was done to me I was not aware of. This cast wonder on how I was treated once sedated. I will never ever trust another surgeon, team, or hospital again for surgery. This was my first surgery and I did have trust that I was going to be told how everything was going to go.

Dr Galster was excellent. I was an add on with ruptured appendix. He made sure to tell me what to expect. With after care he was very straightforward and conservative making sure not to rush recovery. I felt in great care with Dr Galster and nurses at wing. Dr Galster is great. I would recommend him to family and friends.

My dad is 79 and had to have Hernia surgery and Dr Galster was his surgeon. My dad was very happy with how Dr Galster explained everything that would be done during surgery and what he could expect. He has a great bed side manner and is extremely friendly. He made my dad feel very comfortable and relaxed about having his surgery. We are so happy we where able to have him be his surgeon!!

Dr is very helpful and comforting in scary situations. He has a great bedside manner and will take all the time you need with him. I knew exactly what to expect before during and after having my gall bladder removed. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of a general surgeon.
