List of Eric Rightmire's Reviews
Dr. Rightmire told me to wait on a hip replacement because I was too young, they have a shelf life of 20 years and a revision isn’t as good as the original replacement. I went to Boston for a second opinion where I was told unless I’m a marathon runner that’s not necessarily true and a hip replacement would improve my quality of life. I was then referred to an amazing orthopedic surgeon named Dr Baratz in Milton who is great at what he does and is one of those surgeons that fixes the mistakes of others. I was told by staff at BID Milton that he was hired because of his quality of work. I now have had both hip replacements done. Recently a friend went to Dr Rightmire and was sent for physical therapy. She went and got a second opinion and the difference was night and day. There are much better orthopedic doctors out there than this guy. He’s a waste of time and just delays your progress.
I had a total knee replacement with Dr. Rightmere in early November, and I have been recovering nicely. This is the second time I have had surgery with him in the past 7 years. When I found out I needed a TKR, I sought him out. I would not go anywhere else. The other people in his practice are outstanding as well.
Visit for a knee issue and was seen very quickly . He explained the diagnosis very well and any further tests that would be needed. I would highly recommend Dr. Rightmire MD, Overall an excellent experience.
I went to Dr Rightmire due to a pain after total hip replacement which 3 doctors could figure out why I had the pain. Well Dr Rightmire did the tendon release surgery on me and found a few things that were causing my pain. After surgery recovery was a little tough but I'm so happy I went to him cause now pain I had for 9 months is gone!! Dr. Rightmire is best at wat he does.
I fractured my ankle and was seen by Dr. Rightmire. He viewed my X-rays and told me I probably didn't need surgery, but said to come back in a week for another X-ray to see if anything changed. He had no bedside manner and seemed very disinterested in my injury. I did not feel comfortable at all with his diagnosis, so I called and was seen by a Mass General orthopedic surgeon whose focus is strictly foot/ankle injuries. Long story short, he scheduled me for surgery the next day and I ended up with 2 plates and 7 screws in my ankle because of the extent of my fractures. Do NOT go to this practice! Save yourself pain and suffering and go to a specialist that knows what they are doing! And to add to it all, Dr. Rightmire's office called me to cancel my follow-up appointment and told me to reschedule! I had to press 1 star, but I do not even give that!
Always great results and genuine concern and a great staff
I was well cared for. I plan on returning as necessary.
Lacks compassion for his patients.
Dr. Rightmire was kind and through. I have a torn ACL that makes my knee quite unstable. I was rudely told by another Dr (out of state not in this office) that I was too fat for a stabilizing knee brace and I would just have to deal. Dr. Rightmire told me that was absolutely untrue and ordered a custom knee brace for me. He apologized for the treatment I received from the other doctor (even though he didn't even know him), and made me feel cared for. I now have less pain and feel more secure because Dr. Rightmire cared.
I have had nothing but kindness and support from this practice. Dr. Rightmire did a great job on my total knee replacement!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
