George Violin's Online Review Report Card

Dr Violin is the best when it comes to lasik surgery as i am 82 and will be 83 on December 12th and Dr Violin removed cataracts from my eyes and implanted lenses in my eyes many years ago and my vision is still awesome. I just saw on WBZ News that they want to stop all lasik surgeries because many people are having problems with thier eyesight after thier surgeries. Looks like they went to the wrong eye doctor. Thank you 1000 times over for the great job you did with my eyes. After so many years have gone by my eyesight is still awesome and i am still driving my car thanks to you. (the best doctor around)

Wanted to write a review as I just came back from an eye exam, now '17 and my distance vision is still 20/20 after having Dr. Violin do the lasik surgery in '03. Over a decade later still seeing perfect with no side effects (though now I need reading glasses but that's normal). Before the surgery I couldn't read the clock beside the bed. Wanted people to know if you're considering lasik he's excellent. Must say I do agree with a lot of the comments about his abrasive beside manner, and at the time his staff was the same. You just have to overlook the arrogance as a lot of surgeons can be this way. Remember they are seeing a lot of patients and are very busy. I did have to go back a 2nd time to get one eye re-done as it wasn't corrected enough and kind of had to fight with him on it, but it's been amazing ever since. It's so liberating to have had the procedure, you will feel so happy afterwards. I paid quite a bit at the time but it's so worth it for your quality of life- no contacts or glasses. Amazing. Plus, he was local for me with his practice in Norwood and performing the procedure in Quincy. He came through for me and that's what matters. I can read things far away in a room and people say, "you can read that?" Yes, I can! Give it a go, this doctor does know his craft

My aointment was at 2pm. Wasn't seen until 240pm by an assistant. She was very nice and professional. She performed many eye exams and entered all info into the computer. Dr. Violin came into the room, introduced himself and performed the exact eye. Exams his assistant had already performed! All he wanted to do was convince me to have my stygmatisims repaired while he performed my cataract surgery. He spent 3 minutes repeating the exams already done then 2 minutes telling me how he could fix my eyesight along with my cataract surgery. Then he left the room ! He spent 5 minutes with me! He had NO bedside manner, and seemed like he couldn't get out of the room fast enough. I had several red flags about my apt. Waiting 45 minutes to be seen by an assistant, then only 5 minutes by Dr. Violin! I finally left. At 4:15! What a horrible experience by a D r . WHO WAS RECOMMEND to me! I will not be returning to his Practic and cancelled my future appointments. All he cares about is making money! He was rude, uncaring. And seemed to not really care about his patients. Never going back!

worse bedside manner- dr violin spent less than 2 minutes with us, barely did an exam, made no eye contact , claimed his staff would answer questions. I would NEVER let this sorry excuse for a "caregiver" perform surgery on me. he was also horribly mean to his staff in front of us and other patients

Dr Violin spent 3 minutes examining me and 2 talking to "me". ( me being the computer screen). His staff did 99% of exam. he couldn't leave room quickly enough. saw another Doctor the next week. Don't think he was just having a bad day, what a jerk

cant say enough how much I will recommend Dr Violin to anyone. Had both cataracts done only 58yrs old, nervous patient. After seeing everyone at practice made me feel so comtable and reassuring. Also it's amazing how I feel... Thank you from Dr violin to a great friendly staff.

Mean and rude, he won't spend more than 2 minutes with you, even less if you don't need a surgery.

Staff has been very nice and I have found Dr. Violin to be professional and friendly
