List of Leonard Firer's Reviews
Dr. Firer and all of the staff are wonderful with all 4 of our children. We have been going to this practice for almost 12 years. They are friendly, professional and give our children the best care. They always listen and are extremely thorough. Our children LOVE Dr. Firer, he is always smiling and gentle and makes everyone so comfortable. I would recommend this practice to everyone.
My daughters are 6 and 12 have been going to Dr. Firer since he came to the practice. I know my 6 year old was one of his newborn patients and there isn't a pediatrician who is more accurate, dedicated and kind than Dr. Firer. Our family moved from Winthrop to Wakefield a few years ago and Dr. Firer and TLC are located in Revere, it says a lot when a family would travel such a distance for their pediatrician. We recently purchased a home in Peabody, which is even farther north than Wakefield and still I'll never change pediatricians. Dr. Firer is amongst the best at TLC. For example, my oldest was diagnosed with Strep throat last week and sure enough I was in his office this morning with my youngest. Sure enough an antibiotic was sent to the pharmacy. While my youngest was being checked Dr. Firer took it upon himself to recheck my oldest throat for signs of improvement, which he provided a graphic explanation of the improvements he's seen since last week. This simple gesture of checking both my daughters meant a lot and itâ??s not only Dr. Firer that makes this practice amazing. Dr. Chua, Joan (CPNP) and the newest additions: Dr. Vaynshteyn and Marissa (CPNP). I have only encountered the newest providers a few times, but I have confidence in them because Dr. Chua does. TLC is a great "one shop" Pediatrician office because both Dr. Chua and Dr. Firer are accredited to treat my daughters ADHD and although Dr. Firer is both my daughter regular pediatrician, Dr. Chua knows my children as well as Dr. Firer. Itâ??s comforting to walk into any physicianâ??s office and know you're not a number assigned to the practice. I NEVER have to remind any of the providers why I'm there or give any sense of history on my children because they remember us. If one child is there for a visit Dr. Firer always asks me how my other daughter is and itâ??s comforting. This office is open 7 days a week, even Sundays and accepts ALL sick visits between 7-9am. I've never been turned away or told to go to the ER because they couldn't fit us in, even on the busiest of days. TLC pediatrics cares about their patients and understands a parent concern. Itâ??s not only the providers that are excellent, but their staff is too. There is not one caddy person who works for TLC and you all know what I mean by caddy. The MA's know my children as well as the providers and the check-in girls know my kids as well as the providers. Itâ??s sad that I don't remember all their names so I won't give credit to only the few I do know. I will say this, the front of the house works hard and displays EXCELLENT team work. I've never seen them act in any other manner and we all know that itâ??s sometimes hard to keep personal life away from work-well in this office itâ??s all professional all the time. I'm currently pregnant with my 3rd child and I was going to deliver at Beverly Hospital because itâ??s closer to Peabody; however, I asked Dr. Firer if he had privileges at Beverly Hospital, which he does not. So instead I called the OBGYN I had when I was pregnant with my 6 years and scheduled an appointment. Now, this OBGYN moved from Chestnut Hill to Newton and I'll be living in Peabody-that's a far ride just so my childrenâ??s pediatrician can see my newborn at the hospital. If that doesn't speak for itself then I don't know what does. There isn't another pediatrician who could be more prompt, thorough, kind, funny and attentive than Dr. Firer and his colleagues. Did I mention that my niece (21) and nephew (15 and asthmatic) and my great nephew (niece's son) also go here, along with my sister-in-law's side of the family! TLC sees patients until the age of 23. That's the type of service TLC offers, nothing but the best!
I highly recommend Dr Firer to anyone looking for a pediatric physician. He is very informative and supportive of the parents worries. He's and great doctor!
Dr. Firer is an outstanding doctor and very accurate on what's going on with your child. He is very attentive to the children as well as the parents. My children have seen him multiple times and I have have nothing but great things to say about him and this office!
This man is just lost! I am not sure how even is a Doctor! He has misdiagnosed my kids twice, he will rush in and out of the room spends no time at all! It is a complete waste of my time even seeing him. I always end up back! This whole office is a mess with no ventilation the girls at the desk very unprofessional! The other Doctors are just as clueless! I think they like to see you come back so they can keep getting insurance money! Higher people need to look into them ! Thank god I left my kids are treated much better and love there doctor !!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
