List of MIchelle Johnson's Reviews
Not where I go for help and does not listen to patient.
Very unprofessional office. Clearly doesn’t care about patients and lacks compassion. Good luck having your messages returned and booking an appointment in the first place. Look elsewhere if you seek a knowledgeable and compassionate doctor.
I have seen another physician, after Dr. Johnson failed to make, let alone follow, a treatment plan. This isn’t surprising, it turns out. Dr. Johnson’s advice was dangerously wrong. Shockingly so. If you have an uncommon or complicated condition, I would suggest seeing another endocrinologist. With respect to punctuality, she was reasonable in adhering to a schedule - if you could manage to get an appointment - the low score there is directed at her limited availability.
Quite pleasant the first two times I saw her, but failed to organise her proposed follow-up testing plan, or initiate contact after receiving reports from other physicians. I’d not be particularly troubled by that, I can and did call her office myself, but it took so long to get an appointment that, by the time we finally spoke, we were more than a year overdue for taking her suggested measures. I sometimes wonder if doctors think you get put in a cupboard for the 3, 6 or 12 months between appointments. I don’t think some, like Dr. Johnson, think much about the reality of trying to live sick, for 3, 6, 12 months, or more. It’s hard. It’s even harder if the illness affects mood and cognitive function, as many endocrinology problems do. What do they think it’s like to cope with being very unwell, when trying to rely on mind over matter is not something your disease let’s you readily do? Perhaps that’s why, when she finally was available to speak with, after she said, why don’t you tell me what’s been happening, I couldn’t fully express even one question or concern, without interruption to explain my perspective was absolutely impossible. I suppose, if my concerns are baseless, a year delay hearing them doesn’t matter. I’ve had more specific endocrinology support from my family doctor and other specialists. I can, without exaggeration, say there’s not a single thing Dr. Johnson’s said or done that’s been in any way helpful. I’m just sorry I wasted so much time waiting for appointments, it’s time that could’ve gone into waiting to see someone that might actually think about the problem or do something to correct it. I don’t know what is actually wrong. That’s supposed to be the point of Dr. Johnson. I’m not a doctor. I’m not even a scientist. But even I understand, if you disprove every common explanation and the problem remains, it’s time to start looking for uncommon answers and it seems Dr. Johnson is not prepared to do that.
Great doctor Doesn’t give up on me no matter how much I don’t follow up on my appointments or do what I need to do to improve my health she actually genuinely cares for her patients all of you people who are upset about how long she takes to see you need to suck it up and appreciate the fact you have been referred to her and consider yourself blessed 😊
Wonderful Dr. takes her time to see you, seeing me about my pituitary, very knowledgeable, I love to go to her appointments!
One of my family members sees Dr.Johnson who is an excellent doctor and very knowledgable and caring for his needs. BUT her staff are very slow at responding to turning around documents required for insurance submissions. I'm very frustrated with her assistant. No patient should have to keep calling for over 15 days to get documents for their prescriptions that they're in dire need of.
I think Dr Johnson is an excellent doctor. BUT i think she is always very rushed, at least for the times i have seen her. And it is hard to get an appointment in a reasonable time frame, and you have to be in charge or remembering to follow up on things. So i think she could be a much better doctor, if she was allowed more time somehow. I guess that would mean less patients, so then less people would benefit from her care. But i often leave an appt feeling like we havent adequately covered my concerns regarding a complicated condition. I appreciate her caring and her knowledge a lot though, and she is a valued part of my care team. I marked down punctuality not because she is late on appointment days( that only happened once i am sure for a good reason) but rather cause there is such a gap between appointments and such a long wiat time to see her.
Dr. Johnson is wonderful, my daughter was transitioned to her from BC children's when she turned 18 and I am so happy with her !
She is my daughter's new Endocrinologist. She was very knowledgeable.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
