David Larrabee's Online Review Report Card

I have only seen Dr. Larrabee a couple times over the past 4 years as I am in good health. He has been fine and I'm happy with him but his office staff is Terrible! Every interaction with his staff over the years has been difficult. Recently, I could not reach them by phone so I sent a request through the "Patient Portal". I then received a message that they would respond in 2-3 business days and someone would be calling me to schedule an appointment. After 2 weeks with no response, I attempted to call them. Today, after being put on hold for an extended period of time, I was disconnected. Called back and my call went to a voice mail with no recording. Then when I finally reached them I was told it would be 4 months to get an appointment with the Dr. Asked about obtaining a referral and was told I would need an appointment with him first or just to go to urgent care. Asked about vaccinations and was told to ask my pharmacy. They just try to push people away and get them off the phone. Even if the staff is busy there is no reason for them to be rude. The staff person who answered had no interest in why I was calling, her only goal was to end the call as quickly as possible. Although I have no complaints with Dr. Larabeee, the reality is that it is the Dr.'s staff that patients spend the most time with and his staff is just unacceptable.

Don’t bother this place is terrible! The office staff are rude and extremely discourteous. Dr. Larabee is great but his staff is so horrendous that I have to leave the office all together. You get better service from the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

No one answered the phone. Every time when I needed anything, I was put on hold for an hour. In the waiting room, I saw that their staff laughed and chatted but on the other hand as patients we had to wait for hours to speak with them. Their staff were unsympathetic and rude. My husband lost one of his Covid vaccination records and he had a booster shot pending so I called the doctor’s office to ask whether they happened to know where to look up for the record. After holding on the phone for an hour, someone eventually picked it up. And I was told that she was the front desk and unable to answer any of my questions. Besides, she was unable to transfer me to anyone else. Why did she bother to pick up the phone at all? She just left a message for her coworkers who might be able to answer my questions and she was unclear when I was going to get a call back. As I lived 5 minutes away from the office, I dropped by to get an answer. I explained the situation and asked the staff whether they can look it up for me online. I knew that mass.gov kept our Covid vaccination records. I just didn’t know where to look. The staff frowned immediately and asked back “look where”. If I knew look where, I wouldn’t have bothered to ask her. She said she wasn’t able to help because she didn’t have the records either. That didn’t make sense. My husband and I did a physical at a civil surgeon’s office not long ago. He needed our Covid vaccination records to complete the reports but he didn’t ask for our record cards. He said that he was able to look up the records online. Walking out of Dr Larrebee’s office, I called the civil surgeon immediately. And I was told that he had no problem getting our Covid vaccination records online and he could print it out for my husband. Problem resolved! The entire experience was so frustrating as the doctor’s staff didn’t know how to help his patients and showed no willingness to help. I can give your staff the civil surgeon’s contact info if you need so he can show you where to look up for the Covid vaccination records. Their staff never called me back regarding important medical results when a phone call is necessary. I’m thinking of changing a doctor but requesting our medical records will require us of being held on the phone forever again! Sigh!

Dr. Larrabee is extremely helpful and listens to what you have to tell him. Highly recommend.

Dr. Larrabee was attentive and listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. Highly recommend. Staff was very friendly and efficient.

Dr David Larrabee is just the Best ever!

I am a new patient. I chose Dr Larrabee because of referrals and his excellent reputation. I am glad did. He is an excellent doctor. I am equally impressed with his staff. Lasandra and Michelle are great to deal with. They take the time. It is obvious they care about what they do. I would definitely recommend Dr Larrabee and his staff as a primary care physician.

Best doctor I have ever had. He is informed and always cares and listens to your health concerns. I wouldnt want to have any other doctor and the front desk staff is extremely nice and deal with me very well when I can be a little over anxious about things and call alot.
