List of Smiles By Rosie's Reviews
I’ve been a patient of Dr Wagner’s since 2014, which, for context, is half of the time I was a patient of my beloved pediatrician. I used to live in Winter Hill and now live about 45 minutes away. I take PTO to see Dr Rosie, that’s how much this practice is worth to me. There are a thousand things that I love about Smiles by Rosie, but I would say that my top three are: (1) conservative, but brilliant care that’s grounded in the most up-to-date dental research; (2) an inclusive, non-judgmental environment where it’s not just lip service or the professional association’s statement, the office is the embodiment of its mission; and (3) the outstanding, innovative care (which probably falls under (1), too, but there are no glaring, fluorescent lights, the teeth are as diverse as the community instead of a walking ad for cosmetic dentistry, and there is a focus on comfort, calm, and patient education. Dr Wagner is accessible, brilliant, and the practice’s staff are also incredibly professional, compassionate, and committed to her ethos. The patient is involved in care and education in a way that is proactive and not sterile.
I’ve been a patient for about 10 years. I would like to preface with the fact that Dr. Rosie Wagner is very kind, & I have no doubt that her kindness & compassion is sincere. It has always been difficult to make appointments here, even (far out, 6 months+) for simple things like cleanings. It is suggested by staff to go on their “waitlist.” The way the “waitlist” works is when there is a cancellation you get an email. The first person to respond to the email gets the spot. A spot is typically filled within 1 minute in my experience(no exaggeration.) 8 or 9 years ago when doing this, at work, I would stare at my phone, refreshing my inbox constantly. 4 or 5 times in a row I responded (within 2 minutes according to my Gmail) that I would take the appointment, yet someone responded before me every time, & this process was difficult for me to keep up. I explained my difficulties with this process & I needed a cleaning, they finally agreed to fit me in 5 months later. To my knowledge this “waitlist“ procedure has not changed. I dealt with that because she was a good dentist. The one thing that seemed to change things for the worst was she had given birth to her first child, a handful of years back & she is the only dentist at the location. This has compounded the scheduling issue. Making it even more difficult to get an appointment as she is in the office working less. I have not had a cleaning for almost 4 years now because of this, as I cannot schedule something 1+ year(s) out because of my work. I can do something 6 months out, but 6 months is too soon for them. I want to add that the receptionist is also very kind & sincere in their kindness. That goes for all of the staff I have encountered there. In fact, they probably have the kindest staff out of any dentist or medical facility I have ever been to. My issue is absolutely not with the staff or how you are treated by the staff. My only issue is the ability to schedule things. And I want to stress, if you need to schedule something, that’s an emergency, in my experience, you will not be able to do it. I recently had to schedule something because my partial denture, for two teeth, was lost, at no fault of my own, when I went in for surgery at the Cambridge Hospital. The Cambridge Hospital insurance is paying for it, but as I am leaving the country in five weeks, I do need a new one ASAP. They were not able to fit me in at all. Also, when I first started going to Rosie, it was because a bad partial denture was made by a local dentist, one that was unwearable, as you could not speak with it in your mouth, and many other issues. When I showed it to Rosie, she couldn’t believe the poor quality work, and said she would never do work like that. I will not name that dentist here, as I do not feel that is appropriate. Anyways, that exact dentist is the dentist that Rosie told the receptionist to refer me to for this. So, if you do not work and have a lot of free time, and time is not of the essence when scheduling things ever, this is absolutely a great place. If you work a full-time job, and you’re a picky about when you can schedule things, and you cannot check your email constantly for the “waitlist “, then, unfortunately this place is probably not the right fit. I am all the way in North Reading right now, as a dentist I haven’t seen for almost 20 years, since my late teens/early 20s, was able to fit me in, and have a good partial made for me prior to me leaving the country for work in five weeks, therefore, I will not be going back here. I do feel bad about writing this review, as Dr. Wagner is so very kind, and even more so, the rest of her staff is so very kind. But I just wanted to review it honestly , with my honest experience. Thank you!
I have never felt so cared for in any medical setting. Everything from the start was so empathetic and compassionate. The staff I interacted with was so kind. I really enjoyed the mobile over the dental chairs! I think I’ve found my dentist for as long as I live in the Boston area ❤️
Dr. Rosie and staff are the best of best. If you struggle with dental anxiety, this is the only place to go. All the hygienists are patient, skilled and knowledgeable, and Dr Rosie makes time to see you every visit. There can be a wait-list to join the practice as a patient, but it's worth it.
This is the most amazing dental clinic I have ever been to! The staff is wonderful and caring, and the environment is calm and welcoming. Those who might get anxious about dental visits will feel at ease. 10/10. Would recommend!
We couldn't be happier! Mama got a novavax, and toddler had her first dentist visit, and it went so smoothly! These are good people!
Haven’t been to dentist in years due to some major anxiety about it. Dr. Wagner and Tina could not have been better and I’m so thankful for both of them! Highly recommended and was worth the wait. Thank you both!
I had not been to a Dentist in years, partly psychological fears, partly physical fears, partly money concerns, partly denial of aging and perhaps full dentures needed...I was lucky enough to be on a cancellation list, and finally got an appointments. All my fears were allayed with this first appointment, I was treated with friendliness and respect for my own particular situation. I am disappointed that I need to have my teeth extracted at another location, and finding a surgeon (preferably female) is proving difficult who will take my insurance. But I have faith I will find one, even after weeks of searching, and I am confident that with Dr. Rosie's treatment after the extraction and fillings that I have enough teeth left so that I will not need full dentures, and once again enjoy smiling! Just in time to stop wearing a CoVid mask! Dr. Rosie instills a lot of confidence into the process and I'm thrilled to finally taking care of my teeth! and being able to chew fully again, and to be able to flash my own 'natural' smile! Only 4 stars because they can't extract my teeth...
Best dentist
Dr Rosie Wagner and her team are absolutely the best. They are true professionals and make you feel welcomed during your visit. I know many people are scared to go to the dentist. Definitely not here, trust me, you will feel great after your regular dental cleaning or check up. Definitely recommend . A+

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
