List of Dana-Farber Brigham And Womens Cancer Center In Clinical Affiliation With South Shore Hospital's Reviews
My husband was 39 and diagnosed with stage 2 cancer which quickly metastasized to stage 4. We chose Dana farber because it was 6 minutes from our house, and apparently world renowned. The nurses in the oncology unit were great but as far as responses from the actual oncologists, non responsive. We met with Dr. O’Connor twice in three months. Two months after my husband finished chemotherapy we went to seek help as the right side of his neck had completely hardened. The nurses on staff felt his neck, never gave blood work or scheduled any follow up or scans. We contacted his surgeon in boston who was very concerned and scheduled an emergency ct scan (on a Saturday at 330 pm) and consecutively found out the cancer had spread despite intensive radiation and simultaneous chemotherapy. There has been no concern or reach out from said oncologist. It is 2023 in Massachusetts and this has been a total not only failure but complete negligence. I have had other friends warn me of said negligence but due to close proximity to our home felt that was our best option. If you feel your loved one is in jeopardy would not recommend and sincerely regret my decision in choosing that as our saving grace. Dana farber weymouth, you have failed.
The wait time can be long here, but I love my oncologist, Dr. Maingi and the rest of the staff here. It's not somewhere anyone wants to spend time, but they are kind and compassionate and do their best with short staff to get patients in and out in a timely manner. Thank you DFCI. ❤️
I had multiple bad experiences here drive to Boston don’t go here.
My mom called here to make her first appointment and left a message. No call back so I had her call again thinking they're just busy or short staffed. She finally got a lady on the phone and she kept saying she couldn't find my mother's information in the system, which is ridiculous since she's been there a few times for a biopsy and mammogram. Her referral was sent over too. The lady said she'd have someone call her back to make an appt. Fast forward over a month and a half and still no return call or anything. Glad we didn't wait on them though, since we got an appointment with an MGH Oncologist so easy and fast. Told her pcp at followup and she was so upset but said she would refer her patients to MGH now.
Everyone here was so nice!! From Rima at the front to the sonographers right to Dr West. Makes a nerve-wracking experience much better with such kind people
Mammography department is efficient, welcoming, and supportive.
I went Tuesday morning witch seems to be the busiest. I had my Chemo treatment it took 4 to 5 hours they're always backed up but are always friendly and offter food and drinks
Great staff
I would have given 5 stars, if the front desk woman that checked me in wasn’t so rude to me. The rest of the staff was amazing.
This place helped to possibly save my life do to a situation with lymphoma. I have been going here ever since . Recently however there seems to be a high turnover rate and it has effected my care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
