List of Armen Asik's Reviews
Worse experience in my life dealing with my cancer. Spent over 4 years with a professional team of drs in Boston. Dr asik dismissed everything that I told him being a new patient. Didn't read the new patient review questions. Wasn't offered a social worker or nothing. Told me I didn't know what I was ranking about. A d completely took me off meds I've been on for 4 years!!!!! His attitude was disgraceful!!!!!
I came to Dr. Asik after waiting around for biopsy and treatment for 5 months at another hospital. I got instant answers and results from him. I started treatment shortly after as well. He is very personable and made sure i knew everything there was to know about my treatment plan. I would highly recommend him to others.
Dr Asik needs to learn how to listen to his patients, make eye contact with patients and develop a bedside manner. I developed the worst case of hand and foot syndrome I have ever had because he refused to address the issue when i told him that blisters we starting to firm on my feet (being my third diagnosis I know what it feels like! Not my first rodeo). I was told by staff I had “no right to question his reasonings” and “you cannot change your doctor mid treatment”! Really? I have since left dr Asik and am being treated elsewhere by a doctor with a willingness to listen and take the time to explain all her decisions regarding my treatment. If you need an oncologist please don’t waste your time with this poor excuse for a doctor.
Dr Asik is missing half of what one needs to be an oncology dr. His recommendations for treatment were correct and supported by Dana farber but it might as well have been a kiosk giving us medical advice. Some people might prefer that but when you’re newlyweds and your 42 year old husband has stage four colon cancer you need so much more support than just chemotherapy (anyone going through this does). Which we did not receive at his office. When I had brought this up at the nurses station for the second time because I felt so uncomfortable with how he delivered the news of the cancer being back and it being stage four, I was told that “he is only human and is struggling with this situation”. At the end, when my husband was dying, we only saw dr asik once, all he literally said was ‘this is bad’ -as my husbands kidneys were failing and we were about to start his first round of dialysis - and then walked out of the room. To which my husband and I had to literally laugh out loud at just how ill-equipped this man was to be in the field he is. Yes, this WAS bad, my husband was beginning the last stages of his life. To be clear it is not the hard news that made it a negative experience with dr asik. We went to Dana farber at one point to get a second opinion and found out in contrast just what care we were missing. We were told everything that day in Dana farber and we were truly really cared for, and listened to and this man said all the hard things but when we left exhausted we also felt we finally had someone we could go to that was kind and caring as well as top notch care and treatment. And treated dr asik moving forward as just our provider of chemo.

I have had DrAsik since 2013 He diagnosed me withNon-Hodkins lymphoma. called Follicular. I’ve been in remission 5 years He is wonderful person and Dr. I highly recommend him.
He is an as hole ,does not care about his patients nor there health and lies about the diagnosis and does not keep records of the visits and what he tells you but wants to keep making useless appointments to drain your pocket and insurance.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
