This is to clarify something you said on the news about goat's milk. Back in the 70s & 80s when an infant had severe allergies to cow/soy based formulas, pediatricians would prescribe...yes, prescribe...goat milk based formula! Not only was it prescribed, but needed to be ordered! My oldest son...now 41 years old and very healthy... would have died without that goat milk based formula because he couldn't tolerate any other formula. So instead of getting on your high horse, and making mothers feel bad about inquiring on possibility of goat milk based formulas, why don't you do some serious research into the subject! Goat's milk just as goat milk is no good for infants but goat milk based formula has the same nutrition as cow/soy based formula but easier on infant digestion! Again my 41 year old son is living proof this formula will not hurt an infant.

Dr. Boney was dismissive, crass, and disinterested in investigating my son’s condition. During our first hospitalization, she joked and laughed that he “wasn’t experiencing an endocrine problem” and dismissed his tonic-clonic seizure as him having “kind of a seizure like thing”. On our second visit, she accepted that this was an endocrine problem and took our pediatricians diagnosis without even ordering additional bloodwork. After a half-hearted and condescending attempt at describing this condition to me, and even handing me a one page print out from a non credible website, I asked if Dr. Boney would be willing to refer us to a nutritionist so that we could attempt to best manage this condition, to which she replied “you can just google it”. I am disheartened and frustrated with the care we received from Dr. Boney and I would not recommend her to any parent looking for a compassionate and empathetic endocrinologist to guide them in seeking a diagnosis or treatment plan.

Doctor dismissed all of my questions and concerns based on research I have done for my son's condition. She dismissed his allergist's opinions, as well.
