Dr. Desilets is brilliant and compassionate. He is simply the best!

Dr. Desilets is the most knowledgeable GI doctor I have met over the course of 15 years. He took the time to answer ALL of my questions via telehealth. He performed a colonoscopy on me months later and was professional, knowledgeable, kind and actually possessed a great sense of humor. I would highly recommend this Dr. Desilets.??

I must admit I have not had a ton of time with this amazing doctor but the impression he has left is beyond words. My struggle has been long and not easy and not only did Dr. Desilets made sure everything I needed was done, even if one of his partners needed to jump in and help but he also made sure my care involved all my doctors and everyone was updated on what was going on. He has gone above and beyond and I am VERY thankful for all he has done for me and all that he will do if I need his help. Thank you so much!

I went to another hospital for two years terribly I'll , they never helped me , dissatisfied l looked around , Dr Desilets came highly recommend , after 4 hours l got a call back they said come right in and he did his business on me , he explained everything to me and I was completely confident with him , today l feel great. better than l have in two years , l threw up everyday for two years and lost 7teeth for nothing , if only l found him sooner I have read negative reviews on him and you can't please everyone , he is an excellent surgeon and a very decent man Thank you sooo much Dr. Steve

I was referred to Dr. Desilet's from my Primary Care after an abnormal cat scan and MRI. I was recommended to have further testing. I was called my his secretary which they were going to give me an appointment at the end of March which I felt was totally inappropriate. The secretary reached out again and the doctor stayed firm on the appointment for March. I had no explanation nothing I felt the doctor should of called. Very disappointed.

I came to Dr Desilets unable to eat or drink anything constant vomiting and a diagnosis of Gastroperisis. He suggested pyloric botox and I was optimistic. I had this done on January 4, 2018 by January 14, 2018 I was able to eat and drink normally. He gave me my life back. In my eyes he is the best GI Dr in western mass. He's caring and compassionate and talks to his patients like we're people and not just another face.

My experienceDr D. Was more concerned with opportunities for teaching residents then he was for my personal care. He told me I was " Fortunate" he didn't have a resident with him today, or he would have refused to do my procedure, when I requested no resident involvement, due to past bad experiences. I felt like a number, instead of a cared for patient. So much for patient care first. If your considering a procedure with him, I would recommend you find a Dr. Who truly cares about his patients

I wouldn't refer this office to anyone. There is very little care for their patients health or their time. I had issues with this office in 2011, had a surgical intervention and then was referred back to this office to see another physician, Dr D. Due to the wait to see the physician, I booked an appointment with his PA. The PA in the office refused to let me book my further appointments with Dr D. My next appointment was at 10:35 with the original doctor, arrived at 10:30, waited to be checked in, was finally done at 10:35 and they gave my appointment to someone that was after me but they showed up earlier then I do. I sat in the exam room for an hour as the doctor saw other patients and I ended up leaving with out being seen. Baystate GI has been withholding my medical records as I have requested copies for another doctors appointment else where. They also billed my insurance company $464.00 which they paid in full.

Dr. D. apologized for being behind, but he devotes his full attention to each patient and gives them the time they need. He spent 40 minutes with me in a 20 minute spot, so he got even further behind. He diagnosed my problem when 2 other doctors had no clue. I am now on treatment and am 100% better. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a good GI doc.
