List of Kristina Z. Kramer's Reviews
I have first hand knowledge of this physician. Dr. Kramer is one of the best and brightest pulmonologists I have ever met. Her competence, passion for excellence, and heartfelt care for patients is at the core of her practice. Her bedside manner is truly compassionate, and down to earth. She is truly a phenomenal critical care physician. I genuinely recommend her without hesitation! Thank you Dr. Kramer for your care!
Dr. Kramer is amazing..I appreciate doctors who give heart and soul and are committed to excellence.
Dr. Kramer is amazing! Her bedside manner is excellent and she always makes me feel like she cares. I've been her patient for several years and I feel like I hit the jackpot with having her as my physician. Her staff is awesome too! I highly recommend her and her expertise!
Dr Kramer is smart, honest, and hard working. I trust her with my lungs and to take care of me.
Unfortunately, as much as I wanted to see this physician, I ended up making an appointment with another pulmonologist. The management of her office scheduling protocol is extremely poor. The front desk personnel are almost 'frantic' on the phone, and lack professionalism. As a new patient, I waited 4 months for an appointment, only to be told my appointment needed to be rescheduled out another 3 months. Clearly she needs to implement a practice management system to better accommodate patients.
Dr. Kramer has been a fine doctor to support my Sleep Apnea treatment, but I have had incredible difficulties scheduling appointments. Her office staff rarely answers the phone and takes a long time to return calls, if they ever do. The last time, I went into the office to schedule an appointment because I was unsuccessful doing so over the phone.
I have seen Dr Kramer once and although the visit with her went OK, there are other serious concerns. So far, have been alarmed at the inability to get through to reach her office via phone or electronic communication. Vast majority of time, you do not get through to a live person and are left with leaving a message and recording says only to leave a message for non-urgent matters. There is NO WAY TO REACH HER OR HER ASSISTANT if there is an urgent matter other than phoning repeatedly and praying that someone answers the phone. I phoned 50 times yesterday and was unable to get through. I have sent electronic messages and can see that three of those messages have not been viewed and one is over 48 hours old. The first message I sent took 5 or 6 days for assistant to view. I imagine that Dr Kramer believes everything is fine, but there is a very serious communication problem. Dr Kramer ordered tests and I have a follow up appointment to review the results of the tests, but there was a problem with how the tests were ordered and I cannot schedule the tests until issues are addressed by Dr Kramer's office. I even contacted my internist's office and they tried to address the problem and were told that only Dr Kramer's office (the ordering physician) can fix the problem. Even my internist's office could not get through and ended up leaving a message on the same system as a patient uses. They had no other menu options. Very concerned that tests are being delayed as a result. Also, her assistant, Tina, had me leave the office and did not give me the paper work for one of the tests. I received the order (which still is not usable) in the mail several days later on a Saturday. No sense of urgency. This is very concerning. No matter Dr Kramer's skill as a physician, if the office/practice is poorly managed, it negatively impacts patient care.
Dr. Kramer is absolutely the best as is her assistant, Tina. They are a great team. [She moved offices a while ago-- but her new office on Lennon Lane off of Ygnacio is just down a ways from the old one. In fact, I like this office better than the old one.] Dr. Kramer is thoughtful, listens well and has excellent training. I think it is good that she has dual specialties in both pulmonary medicine and critical care. That means she spends some of her time over at John Muir in the ICU. To me that means if I ever had need to go to the ICU [which I hope I won't] she would be present if it was her week to be on-call there. I actually found Dr. Kramer upon the recommendation of a Stanford trained cardiologist-- he said she was "the best in the area" ! So if you have need for a pulmonologist, I would highly recommend Dr. Kramer.
I am a retired NYC Firefighter and September 11 Survivor, I spent 17 hours in the dust and smoke that day and could not see my hand in front of my face and I had Zero respiratory protection, my lungs filtered everything, the dust cloud has been described as the greatest toxic cocktail of poison in history, I was told I would not last 10 years, In 2011 the Zadroga Act was past to help the many sick and dying and thats how I became so lucky to have met Dr Kramer,my life was so out of control,I was a danger to myself, sick and just waiting for the end. Dr Kramer saved my life and she also found me the orthopedic and psychological help I So desperately needed. I'm sure I was a difficult patient- full of anger and fear which is not easy to work with ( I can provide a list of Doctors who will agree). I see Dr Kramer 2+ times a year for my pulmonary needs. I look forward to our visits and her Smile and knowledge that puts me at ease. I know 9/11 will catch up to me someday but until then I am relieved in knowing I have a Doctor who has been there for me since the beginning when everyone else gave up or were to afraid to work with me. As far as office visits and call backs I give the office and Tina an A Plus. I could sit here and tell you all day how far and above my care has been with Dr Kramer but I think I made my point. To any and all FIREFIGHTERS, if you ever feel something wrong in your lungs please call Dr. Kramer. She is exceptional.
I have nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Kramer and Tina. A little background for readers...Lets start with the fact that I am not the patient, but that does not change how wonderfully Dr.Kramer treats me and always makes sure that my mind is at ease. My grandmother (whom is my mother to me) is the patient. My grandma has been with Dr. Kramer for years... as in double digit years around 15 to be precise. Nothing has ever been cut and dry with my grandmas health, one thing always leads to another. On the clinical end Dr. Kramer always has the answer and if for some odd reason she doesn't, she will get you in to the hands of who does. Dr. Kramer has a wide network of the best of the best specialist that she is able to reach out to.On the hospital end Dr. Kramer is kind, caring and compassionate. I've met plenty of doctors who will 'rush' you out of the hospital, but Dr. Kramer is one who will make sure that you are 110% well to go home so that you wont be back admitted next week. If another provider decided that they are going to discharge, I always make sure Dr. Kramer has the final say.Dr. Kramer is one of the few doctors who will make sure that you completely understand every detail of your diagnosis, and if you don't she will go over it again until you do. She is very welcoming with family and questions (even my 5 million questions) Her office is always warm and welcoming. Dr. Kramer's assistant Tina is an added bonus, visits wouldn't be the same with out her. Tina is very attentive to your every need and makes sure all referrals and prescriptions are sent over in a timely manner, if Dr. Kramer's schedule changes and clinic appointments need to be changed she notifies you asap and works around your schedule to make it right.Over all I have not one negative thing to say here. If you are in need of respiratory care, Dr. Kramer is who you need to be with. I can tell you that you wont be disappointed.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
