This poor exscuse for a doctor, Cancelled my mom's appointment a day before ,Never set up pain management that HE recommended,Office staff dropped the ball Big time , And so she must wait until the end of May to even start getting something going for exscuciating back pain,Her PC read her MRI and believed she would need surgery,This guy doesn't have the decency to see her ,call ,Shame on this cracker box doctor and his staff.

I had a wonderful experience with him. He explained what he was going to do in a way we could understand. His assistant is great and very understanding. I would recommend him.

Dr. Schaprio is an amazing Neurosurgeon. I had an ACDF on multiple levels, just a few days ago, I am already pain free, and I still have time to heal. I had trouble/pain in my arms and legs for years. I will always be grateful for him. My daughter said it all and brought me to tears the day after surgery. “Mom you are walking normal”! Every day I wake up, every step I take, in every thing I do it is because he gave me life again.

This Man shouldn't practice medicine in my opinion because I waited two months to see him and he wouldn't even see me for an inital visit then gave me a diagnosis that everything is going fine. Do not go to this office if you value your care in my opinion. This is without question the worst doctor I've heard of because he won't even see you to make a diagnosis at least with my situation and others from what I personally have heard.

Dr. Robert Schapiro performed a microdiscectomy on my L5/S1 herniated disc on Tuesday May 21st 2019 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield MA. The surgery was very successful, and Dr. Schapiro was very kind and compassionate. Before my surgery I had horrible sciatic pain from my back, down the back of my left leg, all the way to my numb/tingling foot. I was in constant pain before my surgery and could not walk. I could not take steroid pills because I was very sensitive to them and could not tolerate them. However if I hadn't been so sensitive to them they would have taken away the sciatic pain completely. Dr. Schapiro was very professional at all times and answered all of my questions and concerns. The day of my surgery I met his assistant, a wonderful doctor in his own right. I was made to feel very comfortable and trusted their knowledge of this surgery 💯 %. When I woke up after the surgery my horrific pain was completely gone! I was treated with respect at all times and recommend Dr. Schapiro if you need a microdiscectomy procedure. I am so greatful to have had Dr. Robert Schapiro as my surgeon. Thank you again Dr. Schapiro!

I had seen dr Shapiro months ago. He sent me for a test that took 2and a half months later. Had the test March 14. Results were sent to him on the 15th. Hadn’t heard from them so I called my primary care dr. There office called them and gave me a appointment for April 10. Not more then 10 minutes later shapiros office called me and said they made a mistake and gave me a appointment for June 2. This was supposed to be a follow up appointment. 2 1/2 months is just not acceptable. Obviously I will not be going back. Didn’t like him in the first place.

he never returns your phone calles,you have to wait weeks to see him,,he did two surgerys on me ,the first one was a disaster,the second one has left me in a lot of pain,and he refuses to call me back to help me ,no one from his office ever returns my calls,i have waited 6 weeks and still no call back . I strongly do not recommend this neurosurgeon at all.
