I’m an Ophthalmologist out of state (Pennsylvania) who has known Dr. Berger for 30 years. I’ve sent my parents to him although they live in the Boston area, more then two hours away. Which should tell you all you need to know. He is arguably the smartest doctor I know, incredibly honest and ethical, and had world class surgical skills. There is no eye surgeon in central Massachusetts or southern Connecticut that I believe comes close to Dr. Berger and I can very highly recommend him.

Dr. Steven Berger is a competent,knowledgeable,affable and respectful physician. He has always listened and heard my concerns and has always had time for me. I have never felt like an 'inconvenience' to him or felt 'rushed' out. Truly, he one of the BEST ophthalmologists in this area. However, his designated 'checkout' woman is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered! She could NOT care any less. She is clearly miserable. Why?? I have had MANY appts., & she is always the same.

The doctors office staff lacks any sensitivity to patients issues and is very imperial in their dealings with patients. I was completely unsatisfield with this doctor and his staff and sought out the services of another doctor who had better staff services.

i had cataract surgery in nov. and dec. of 2010. i really enjoy the lense that dr. berger placed in both of my eyes. i say hats off to doctor berger for his expertise in correcting cataract surgery.

I have been a patient of DR.S.Berger for 25 years I see him for reg. eye exams to any eye issues i have had several eye issuies in the past due to med.problems and he and his staff have been wonderful in all ways possible. DR.S.Berger friendly caring takes time to listen and answer questions and explains whats going on good or bad. I have alot of trust in him and I have not meet a DR.that can compare.keep up the good work
