List of Macario Corpuz's Reviews
Dr Corpuz is one of the worst doctors I have ever dealt with. I worked in the medical field for 35 years and have dealt with numerous physicians. Dr Corpuz runs behind by at least an hour consistently. I felt as if I knew more about medicine than he did. I saw him for a significant medical problem that required a two week follow up. Upon my follow up visit, he didn’t know why I was there. When I told him, he stated that he knew nothing about my having had that specific issue. He has a script that he goes through, does not care what your problem is, and immediately sends his patients to a specialist without doing any type of work up himself. I went to many unnecessary appointments with a variety of specialists. I have switched to another PCP, and am now receiving appropriate care. Thankfully my knowledge of medicine allowed me to realize Dr Corpuz has no clue what he’s doing. I also know I am not his only dissatisfied patient.
Dr Corpuz was attentive and he is one that actually LISTENS AND CARES for your well-being... He is not there just for the paycheck. I highly recommend him.
I have had several visits with Dr. Corpuz after selecting him as my PCP in 2021. Each visit except the last was general in nature. It seems he runs down a checklist of what he wants to ask and he is not well skilled at listening to the patient. In my last visit I explained some health issues I was experiencing and I felt that he was rushed and barely listened. I expected he would order some blood work and he did not. He said I should see a specialist, however the first person I was referred to had no availability for a new patient. Perhaps a little help on his part would have expedited matters. I contacted his office and after some insistence had another referral processed. Again, no urgency from the doctor. It seemed as if it was all up to me to find someone. I have never experienced this in my past having always been helped by my PCP in obtaining specialist care. My recommendation is to find a different doctor than Dr. Corpuz.
I’ve never had an appointment start on time. His ‘record’ was 90 minutes late. More that once. That includes an appointment that was his FIRST for the day. He was 40 minutes late for that, and he was in the building; I know he was there because I heard him shout for the nurse to come help him, with a tone that sounded like he was a child calling for his baby sitter. As you'll see on many review sites, he is mechanical, rushed, doesn’t listen, and frequently rude. You really have to push to get a word in edge-wise. He is dismissive when he does listen. He seems to lack social awareness in a profound, and general, way. It is Exceptionally difficult to get him to do his job when it comes to sending in test. We discovered that my vitamin D was *exceptionally* low. Despite repeatedly asking, I’ve not once had him send in a follow up test for vitamin D levels. I could enumerate the many other ways ‘working’ with him has been to my detriment, but I find it too infuriating to continue.
Dr. Corpuz has been my PCP for 6 years. I wouldn't have it any other way. He's genuine, very knowledgeable, and he cares for his patients health. Thanks Doc!!
Dr. Corpuz is by far the best personal care physician I've had. He listens to everything you have to say to get to the root of any problem you may have. He is thorough and personal and take what time is needed to figure everything out. The entire staff is equally responsive and helpful. I feel that I've luckily always had good doctors but Dr. Corpuz is fantastic.
This guy does not want to help you. He wants to get you out of his office as quickly as possible and doesn't give a hoot what problems you might have. He will run through his script as fast as he possibly can without a hint of care. You are simply a customer of his, not a patient. He thankfully did have a medical student there with him who in my case showed adequate attention to detail and made you feel like she truly was trying to figure out how help you out.
Maybe one of the worst offices I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with in my adult life. Steer far away from this place!
I feel also personally victimised by Dr. Corpuz. He routinely was late for his appointments. Never took what I said seriously. Did not want to take responsibility for my health when it came to doctor's notes for my condition, they allowed me to dictate what I needed. After my work needed clarification, especially doing simple division such as dividing and 60min by 10, he argued that it could allow me to have hours awaynfrom work. Claiming that I was just trying to get out of work. It was only after i got upset and threatened a lawsuitbthat he finally re-wrote the letter, but set it for a two month period. His assistant didn't understand the division of time either. I went in because I was having a serious issues related to IBS that I have been tested for in the past and had my medical records sent for that testing. I assume they either didn't read it, or didn't bother making sure the medical history was up to date. I had yo go in for two minor procedures again because he didn't bother with my previous tests. More money out of my pocket, including spending hours waiting for a note he argued to provide an updated version. He also bullied me until I got angry with them. I also stopped going to Dr. Corpus immediately after this situation occured. He also did the same to me as the other patient from the reviews. Ner spoke to me clearly, I never felt listened to, and he doesn't smile or feel welcoming. I would never recommend Dr. Corpuz to care for anyone and I suggest he gets some patient care training, especially bedside manners.
I feel personally victimised by Dr. Corpuz. He routinely would start my appointments by making fun of my appearance. It was only after i got upset and cried that he stopped picking on my body. I went in because I was having a serious mental health struggle with anxiety and depression. I asked him for some basic anxiety or depression medicine and what he would recommend. His reply was "How do i know you're not just lazy?" These words have stuck in my mind and only caused more damage. I'm infuriated by his lack of self awareness, victim blaming, and blatant bullying. I am disgusted by this persons behavior as they are supposed to be a professional. I stopped going to Dr. Corpus immediately after this situation occured. He never spoke to me clearly, i never felt listened to, and he doesn't smile or feel welcoming. I would never recommend Dr. Corpuz to care for anyone and I suggest he gets some patient care training.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
