I brought my uncle to have his eyes tested. We had an 8:50 A.M. appointment. We waited thirty minutes to be seen. Then were shuffled to one office for background information, back to the waiting room to wait again. The doctor came to get us and did the examination, we were shuffled to another office then my uncle was checked again. Finally we went to select glasses and get fitted. All in all it took us two hours for what should have been at most forty-five minutes.

Dr. Berry is wonderful! She is thorough and explains everything. She is also very kind and pleasant. The staff at Sturbridge Eyecare is also great to work with. I highly recommend Dr. Berry and the Sturbridge Eyecare!

After waiting for over 30 mins I asked the receptionist how far behind the doctor was. I was then told over an hour. There were 2 other people waiting for over an hour with me as well. I asked to reschedule. While standing at the desk, a couple walked in. The receptionist asked them if she could help them after I was standing right in front of her waiting for her to reschedule me. If the doctor is running so far behind, they should extend their patients the courtesy of notifying them of the delay, not ignore them prior to arrival and while they are there.

The visit went well, a good exam BUT the quality of the lenses were terrible.They failed and the transitional FILM they used on them began to degrade and fog up. I could not use them. When I brought them back I was told that it was to be expected. Too bad!!! Another optometrist said that that was absurd. Lenses were defective. Very expensive place and doesn’t stand behind their product. Do NOT recommend.

I have been going to Dr Berry for more than 25 yrs. She is caring & very competent. My only criticism is that in the past few years, it is difficult to get an appointment even when you have a concern. I called once with a concern(flashing lights) & the woman who answered the phone told me there was no way to see the doctor in the next few days. I should see if the problem continued & call again if it does. One thing to note is that not all staff are as blasé as this one was.
