I’ve been a patient of Dr. Lifrak’s for quite a while. I appreciate his bedside manner his enthusiasm and professionalism he’s very thorough he’s helped me with my knee issue in such a tremendous way. I can’t thank him and his staff enough. Maryann is amazing such a team player with Dr. Lifrak. She’s caring very compassionate and always willing to go the extra mile for her patients. She always goes above and beyond to ensure that my Duralne injection is approved and taken care of by my insurance, so that I get it at a timely fashion for my appointment she never skips a beat. I love this dynamic duo, you are both amazing people Thank you both so much.

This guy knows what he is doing!! He is an expert in his field and takes his work very seriously! If you need somebody to consult your knee pain, Dr. Lifrak is your guy! Friendly staff and smart in their field!

I have been going to Dr. Lifrak for nearly 14 years. He replaced my left knee 13 years ago when I was 67 with great success. I recently had my right knee replaced by him in October at the age of 80 and once again he gives back good quality of life. I am able to do so much now that I couldn't before. He is a doctor who really cares if you hurt he hurts for you, his bedside manner is very unique you just feel so safe with him. He is so reassuring and kind and very easy to talk to. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a knee replacement. I was hesitate about going to Charlton Memorial hospital being that I am from R.I. but I received such great care there . They also are very patient oriented, from my pre-testing to discharge everyone was so very nice and efficient . When you call the office for an appointment they are very accommodating, they also have an office available in R.I. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful doctor who cares.

Dr. Lifrak is awesome. He's friendly, professional and listens to your concers. I had a minesectomy of my l knee and now he'll be doing my acl reconstruction in 2 weeks. His staff made me feel less worried and provided me with all information i needed to prepare for surgery.

I had my left knee replaced 3 years ago by another doctor and was satisfied with the results as I had nothing to compare it to. Dr. Lifrak and his team did a phenomenal job with the replacement of my right knee. Let me start by saying that he offered me alternatives to replacing my knee and had tried a few possible solutions. Another doctor had told me there was nothing else he could do and just had to replace the right knee. I met with Dr. Lifrak for a second opinion and he was very patient and informative on my options. I appreciated his opinion but decided to replace the knee after we had tried a few possibilities. I was referred to Dr. Lifrak by my PT from my last surgery and was so glad to have him replace my knee. I have read some reviews that he doesn’t spend enough time with patients. I find that hard to believe as he spent all the time I ever needed. He is very busy, because of his reputation, so if your looking for someone to chat with you would be better off to use social media. If you want a great Doctor then chose Dr. Lifrak, if you want a new friend to talk to, get a puppy. LOL. I had some minor issue with seepage after surgery, that was not his fault. He was so concerned and caring that he had even met me at his office on his day off to revolve the issue. He even called me three times himself to see how the solution was working. REALLY ? I am 59 years old and a Doctor has never called me, their office maybe but not the doctor. What doctor does that ? Based on past experiences I feel my opinion is well informed to compare the differences of Dr. Lifrak’s services and that of the previous Doctor that replaced my other knee: Dr. Lifrak uses dissolvable sutures under the skin with painless “steri- strips” vs staples. Ouch those staples were not fun. The post op medicine Dr. Lifrak prescribed was very thought out and was very effective. Dr Lifrak prescribed a narcotic and a medium pain killer as well as Tylenol. This medium pain killer helped me ween myself off of the Narcotic while still managing the pain. The previous Doctor prescribed a narcotic and Tylenol and nothing else. Once that Doctor decided I didn't need the Narcotic anymore he shut me off. That left me with a lot of pain and was unable to participate in the needed Physical Therapy. Dr Lifrak’s method is much better. I was never in too much pain for Physical Therapy. I am now 3-1/2 weeks post op and the difference between the first surgery and this one is incredible. My wife even noticed the difference. I am off of all of my Meds. The swelling is a lot less, the muscle weakness is still evident but considerably less. My last Operation left me with a lot of swelling and a VERY long road to recovery. My PT now is much more effective than my previous operation. It was harder to stretch muscles that were excessively swollen. That is not the case now. My only regret is that I didn’t know of Dr. Lifrak when I had my first knee replaced. A huge thank you to Dr. Lifrak and your staff. You made this knee replacement a lot more bearable than it was in the past.

There are few physicians and office/support staff that can compare to Dr. Lifrak and his staff. They are professional, courteous and very kind. Dr. Lifrak is intelligent, skilled and very compassionate. If you need a an orthopedic consult for your knee or hip, don’t hesitate to seek his opinion. He is honest and strives to educate his patients regarding their diagnosis with the most appropriate options available.
