List of Alan Penzias's Reviews
Bait and switch just about sums up my experience at Boston IVF. I met with Dr. Penzias for my initial consultation, but never saw him again for any of my follow up visits or procedures. In fact, a trainee who had to be supervised performed my transfer even though my appointment was scheduled with one of the more qualified doctors. I was never asked for my consent to have the trainee perform the procedure, she just took over in the procedure room, which was very distressing to me, as we only had one viable embryo. Needless to say the procedure was not successful and my experience was very unsatisfactory. Boston IVF claims that this is standard practice for them and that they were not in the wrong for not asking my permission to have a trainee do the procedure. I find this truly scary.
Although I originally met with Dr. Penzias and was supposed to be under his care he did not actually end up performing my egg retrieval or implantation procedures (this seems to be common at Boston IVF). In fact, on the day of my implantation procedure, a trainee doing her fellowship performed the procedure instead of the Endocrinologist that was scheduled to, without asking for my prior consent. According to the office manager this is a regular practice and Boston IVF does not believe that patients need to be asked for their permission to have a trainee doing their fellowship perform the procedure, rather than the scheduled specialist. Apparently it is up to the patient to ask whether a trainee is present.

Dr. Penzias is a nice doctor, but his staff is very inpatient. One of the nurse named Donna is the worst. She does not listen to you, always in a rush, answers your question before you finish talking.
I am so happy with Dr Penzias because this suturday I will do my egg transfer,,This wensday I had done egg retrivel with Dr Penzias ,,I did't fell any pain ..I went next day to work ...
I found this doctor to be somoene that have forgotten that infertility patients is as stressful as having a patients that has cancer. He is very uncaring, have no sympathy for other patients doctors. He rushed to be out of the phone. He doesn't returned Called back when he was paged on a oncalled doctor. he is very difficult to communicate as a doctor. I am very shocked at his impersonal and uncaring doctor and typical doctor like DR Alan Penzias need to remember everyone should be treated equally and he hold the future of a patient especially somoene in a fertility treatment into his hands, regardless if this is your patients or another doctor patients.

We have been very happy with the care we have been receiving at BIVF. Dr. Penzias is always willing to answer our questions and is always concerned with our opinions and desires when it comes to our treatments.
This is a brilliant man, and I have full respect for his professionalism and bedside manners. We got pregnant with our son on our first ART process (an IUI) when being treated by him in 2005. I can never forget this man

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
