Susan Lim Md's Online Review Report Card

Worst medical experience ever. Dr. Lim not only didn’t properly have me anesthetized for a risky procedure, she allowed a fellow to perform the procedure without my consent. In fact, I specifically confirmed with her office 2x beforehand, and the fellow that day, that dr lim would do the procedure and not the fellow. I also made it clear to the fellow on the day of the visit, and to dr Lim on my prior visit, that I require a large dose of anesthesia, but to no avail. Dr lim did not appear until minutes before the procedure and did not prepare me, ask for consent, or discuss anything about the procedure with me, leaving it all in the hands of an inexperienced fellow. Dr Lim’s after visit reports were full of inaccuracies and frankly, lies, likely meant to avoid malpractice suit for trauma and patient rights violations. The fellow announced to me that the procedure would be done to the wrong side of my body (which I corrected of course) and didn’t even reveal my blood pressure to me, which I requested as she was taking it. I learned after the visit that it was much higher than ever before. I attribute this to my anxiety on the day of the visit that dr lim hadn’t prepared me at all for the procedure and was nowhere to be seen. Plus, on my first and only other appointment with her, she allowed an unsupervised, male fellow to handle most of my appointment, including the exam, without my consent or any warning. I waited a long time for that visit, because I requested a female specialist. Felt violated by this woman twice. So much for patient rights.
