List of Oscar A. Martinez's Reviews
I saw Dr. Martinez for a time period in the past after my regular gyno had switched practices. Though seemingly friendly upon first impression, I found him to be very judgemental & not at all compassionate or understanding to those with "less than perfect pasts". He made assumptions about my health & well being that were far from true, based on a stereotypical generalization of patients with similar history like mine. I always did my best to be open & honest with him, but he still spoke to me in a very accusatory manner each visit. This caused me unnecessary stress, including during one of my pregnancies. I eventually switched doctor's/practices & I'm glad that I did. I realize that doctor's must know about your history, but to treat patients in a stigmatic manner based upon their lifestyle choices is very unfair & insensitive of a provider in my opinion. I would say that he may have an overall "happy go lucky" vibe, but lacks professionalism & bedside manner. I don't know if he has personal reasons to criticize patients with "charts (history) like mine" but it sure seemed that way. Doctor's should be there to help care for you, not pass unfair judgement & persecute patients. I felt uncomfortable with Dr. Martinez once sharing more details of my personal life & history, and this is definitely not how one should feel while at a medical practice! I've told other providers the same information & have never before had such a negative response. We all have a past & I'm sure Dr. Martinez is no exception. If it wasn't for that, I honestly think he'd probably make a good doctor, but it takes more than just knowledge, experience & a happy face. How you treat patients is also extremely important, especially as an ob/gyn! Please take this as constructive criticism to do better in the future & try harder to be kinder to patients in my predicament. Nobody's perfect, and nobody should be made to feel ashamed or embarrassed for past choices or mistakes. (Note: I always try to leave the most honest reviews possible, without trying to directly offend a business or provider. I'm not saying that Dr. Martinez is a bad doctor or person, I'm simply sharing what happened to be a negative experience with him in the past & in no way am I deliberately trying to hurt his reputation! I even hesitated to review him, for fear of hurting or offending him or his practice, but I felt compelled to tell my story.)
Dr. Martinez is the best! I'd recommend him to anyone ! He is kind, caring, and very knowledgeable. He's very cautious when you're pregnant as well Never thought I'd want a male ob, but now i'd never leave!
I saw Dr. Robillard (spelling) recently. It was quick, absolutely no waiting. And she was great! Very friendly and gentle.
Dr. Martinez is a kind an personable doctor. He invites questions and answers in terms that people can understand.
I saw Dr. Martinez for a endometrial biopsy, which is very painful. He was sympathetic, caring and did the procedure quickly. His explanation were clear in the follow-up appointment.
Dr. Martinez is the most amazing OBGYN I've ever had. I'm high risk and he takes all the precautions he has to assure that my pregnancy is prolonged and healthy. He is gentle and kind and doesn't make it awkward like most doctors. He is an excellent male doctor and I highly recommend him to any women. He is the dr I trust to deliver my baby. He's awesome.
Dr Martinez is kind, gentle, patient and most of all a guardian angel. Without his time and attention to detail i wouldnt be here today! Its hard to believe the baby is almost two already. Thank you dr Martinez!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
