List of Lynn A. Baden Md's Reviews
Terrible communication skills. In investigating a rash over the course of several months, she never once explained to me what she thought might be going on. Leaving me to interpret the test results myself. Yet her medical notes say that her diagnosis was explained in full - simply not true. I just couldn't get her to tell me what she thought was going on. I eventually had to go to a different dermatologist in order to get an explanation and understand my options for treatment.
Office is run efficiently. You will not wait long at all. This is the second time I have been there in three months. Not sure of her name, but the medical asst or nurse, held the door for me and waited for me to use the ladies’ room to help with the office door again. I have one arm in a splint and need to be careful post-surgery but also needed to have my skin cancer screening. Dr. Baden was polite and provided a bit of patient education. I was very comfortable in their care.
Terrible experience all-around. They left irreparable bright burns all over the treated area. The burns have a shape of the round tool they used. When I sent pictures and asked how to treat burns, Dr. Baden stopped responding. I ended up with a permanently damaged skin.
Ended up with badly burned skin during procedure which causes permanent spots on my face. Dr. Baden refused to see the damage or to give an appointment and went into avoidance mode. First I was told she is away (for several weeks!), then she is "busy", etc. Finally after 2 months of me trying to get her appointment, her stuff emailed me that she recommends some cream and she cannot guarantee it will help. The whole process was highly frustrating and unprofessional. Left me with large damaged area of skin, which, as I learned from other doctors, is irreversible due to deep burns received during procedure. I saw Dr. Baden at Center Dermatology in Newton where Dr. Baden worked at the time.
Dr. Baden is excellent. I’ve been a patient of hers for many years at her own practice and followed her the to her new one. Professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. A+++
After being almost 15 years a patient of Lynn Baden I think I was just too lazy to change. But that has come to an end. She is the most arrogant, uncaring doctor I have ever had. After asking her to remove a growth on my breast that was huge and disgusting, she insisted that insurance would not pay for it and she could do nothing about it. It itched and bothered me so much that I constantly scratched at it until it bled. I eventually, piece by piece, removed it myself. Her assistant’s comment was, “Oh you did a good job.” I suffer from rosacea which she treats me for with antibiotics. So many times, my prescription has run out and they refuse to refill it. The last time I had not seen her for awhile but I was very ill for a month. I made an appointment to come in and they said that they called in the prescription. I called the pharmacy and they had refused to fill it even though I had made an appointment to come in. This has happened repeatedly. It is my opinion that she cares very little for her patients’ wellbeing and I am done with her.
Very traditional approach; Unwilling to spend a few minutes to find the ROOT cause of my issues, instead just wanted to treat the symptoms. Very frustrating because I want to solve the actual problem, not just come up w/ a temporary solution (that only addressed the issue in 1 place where it was occurring; not all of them. She was not thorough in her diagnosis). I tried to bring this up in numerous ways, asking different questions and the answer was always "sure, maybe." Didn't feel like I was listened to or heard. It was a very quick appointment. Not worth the time and long distance I had to drive. Will find someone else next time.
You are the best.
I was told by the office staff that they did not take my medical insurance. I was billed and paid $200 on the spot. Later, I was billed additional money, only to find that the practice had billed and been paid by my insurance company, without my authorization. Furthermore, they were sending my bill to collections when they owed me $180. Recently, I have been able to get the billing issue corrected and they are no longer billing me, but after six months, I have not seen a return of the $180 they owe me. On the phone, they acknowledge the debt, but I am seeing no resolution.
Dr. Baden has zero basic social competence and little interest in treatment of her patients, only in the financial benefit of it. On initial introduction she made no eye contact and barely greeted me. She told me the fee involved immediately. I was in for laser treatment of a leaking blood vessel on my face and she kept her back towards me in silence until the laser machine was ready. Her hand slipped on the first placement of the instrument. She did no close examination of the area and spent literally 5 seconds treating me. Her attitude was detached and condescending, without the most basic civility or interest in either my skin issue or me as a person. I felt that even her kind assistant was embarrassed by her abrupt manner and rudeness...she left the room with instructions to 'give her an ice pack'. There was absolutely no improvement post-treatment. Unbelievable!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
