List of Cooley Dickinson Medical Group Orthopedics And Sports Medicine's Reviews
Rude staff. Rude doctor K. Awful service. Dont go unless you like to be treated like garbage.
Don't waste your time. The folks here are more interested in just moving you out the door. I injured my foot in June and went to the walk-in clinic on the recommendation of urgent care due to a possible fracture. Luckily, my foot wasn't fractured. The PA at Cooley Dickinson advised me to rest my foot for a week and to come back if still in pain. I went back after the recommended time when my foot still wasn't healed and the second PA looked at me like I had two heads for coming back. I've spent 4 months dealing with this injury and I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, no thanks to people at Cooley Dickinson . Two visits, two PAs, total time of less than 15 minutes spent with the PAs. Neither PA at Cooley Dickinson diagnosed my injury. The first PA put incorrect info in my file as to how my foot was injured. The second PA couldn't be bothered to read it before seeing me. Furthermore, I'm not sure what kind of sports injuries these folks deal with, but if you're a soccer mom who does sport for fun, this isn't the place for you. I had to miss a race this September because I couldn't properly finish training for it. When I mentioned the sport aspect to the second PA, the PA clearly had no idea what she was talking about and gave bad advice she had no business giving.
This place claims to be a hospital but I walked in with an obvious foot injury and they refused to see me. My left foot hurts so much I can barely walk and I can’t sleep. I don’t know what they do in here but I would not go here looking for a doctor.
Still trying to get charges from a service I never received off my Dr.bill from April. Then got the bill for PT services, The therapist was great, but after insurance, I’m still paying $271 per visit for about 15-30 minute visits that are very simple. Ouch!!! Who can afford that? Not me! It’s way above the average cost for the amount of time so I was really caught off guard by the expense. Very disappointed.
After a minor muscle injury I wanted to still be seen, so I made a appointment at the Hatfield office, both PA and the Dr were rude and pushy about trying to gather unrelated personal medical questions that had nothing to do with my minor injury. And pushy and rude about needing an X-ray…for a muscle injury, I said that won’t show you anything for my muscle and the ER already confirmed no bone injury when they did an X-ray. But as soon as I started saying no and questioning their recommendation to things to make sense of why, they instantly became offensive and rude. They just want that insurance money and will recommend unnecessary things with no regard of you. Total waste of time, find somewhere else to go.
I was sent here to the Hatfield walk-in clinic by my primary care because I was having ongoing tingling in my fingers a week after a shoulder dislocation and she was concerned about nerve impingement. I was told by the receptionist at the walk-in clinic that this was not an injury, this was a chronic condition (??????what?????), and so they could not see me. So now I will be waiting a week to see another orthopedist elsewhere, and meanwhile I cannot work.
I HAVE BEEN A PATIENT AT HAMP. ORTHO. FOR YEARS. ALWAYS THE BEST CARE. DR. MCBRIDE WAS WONDERFUL. JACOB FREEMAN IS GREAT AS WELL AS DR. LEGEYT.
I was told I had a sprain but turns out it was a tear and my thumb is misaligned. Due to time for second opinion, surgery no longer a great option. My initial assessment with Paul was about 5 minutes. I asked for additional imaging as per recommendation from ER but Paul stated this was not needed. If you have a hand injury I would suggest seeing Dr. Adler in Springfield - he was top notch.
turned away after injuring something in my ankle. Was recommended to the local hospital urgent care which I had just come from. After describing it further, reception recommended the urgent care AGAIN who had directed me here. I cannot walk without severe pain.
Waited a month for an open appointment. Showed up to appointment and was told I needed a referral. Maybe I could have been told that a month ago when I booked the appointment? STAY AWAY - the 2 star review is 100% a fair review for this place.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
