List of Lisa Lynn Stephens's Reviews
I’ve never really had a GYN that was as gentle, patient and explained things as thoroughly as Dr. Stephens, even though I’ve seen about a half a dozen male and female GYNs in my life. Her staff is phenomenal and she’s got a great bedside manner. Thank you to Dr. Stephens and her office!
She spent the first 10 minutes filling in every blank in my medical record but then didn’t address the two issues I specifically asked for help with. In reviewing my record after the appointment, she also left information from a previous appointment that was no longer accurate. Instead of helping with the issues I was concerned about, she focused on my need to lose weight.
Dr. Stephens is great, and she was my doctor for ~ 10 years. I was very sad when she moved to a different district.
Lisa is the most caring, gentle and knowledgeable physician ive ever gone to.
She was very easy to talk to and explained everythng. She was very thorough and extremely caring. i really miss her.
Lisa Stephens was my least favorite ob/gyn out of a practice of four or five. And I should qualify this by saying that I've had four children and one D&C through this practice over a decade. This was before the big malpractice suit etc. She was very curt, brief, and business-like, although she seemed efficient which I initially approved. But she lost all my respect when discussing my weight and topics around mental health, which she had no sympathy and compassion for, or understanding of. Let me qualify this by saying with none of my pregnancies did I gain more than 18 pounds. And several of them were high risk, and I was over age 35 for all of them. When I retorted to one of her zinger criticisms about my physical shape and condition, that it was hard for me with three small children/toddlers/babies to get exercise (single parent, nursing, naps etc.), she stated that there is a YMCA in my town that offered babysitting, she had done it when her children were small, I could too. Her opinion was black and white, and she displayed a ferocious ignorance of the circumstances: the hours they offered a babysitter were hours I could not get to, we could not afford a membership, and the babysitting room was a window-less, airless 20 by 10 foot room two levels down in the lower basement, crammed packed with 10-12 kids already, most of whom were plugged into a video, trading whatever sickness was going around. Anyway, not to go on, but Lisa Stephens is a cold hearted person, with little sympathy for other women...and her comments were unpredictably mean at times, which is the last thing a hormonal pregnant lady needs. We dreaded getting her on rotation. She is also the one who threatened me with a Csection when my first birth (19 hours) was over-long, and she was the one out of all of them who liked giving episiotomies. I would not recommend her.
I almost died post delivery
If I could give 0 stars I would...I wouldn't trust my fish with this woman. She is unprofessional and breaks the oath that medical professionals take. Think THREE times before trusting this "dr" and this practice with your life and your baby's life....do your research into the practices history and CDH history as well since they have now "merged" with CDH....They keep medical info from their patients during treatment, labor, delivery, and post-partum.....JUST PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!!
Dr.stephens was there for me through both my pregnancys. She is an amazing doctor and person, and I will never forget her.
I was first very impressed with Dr. Stephen's depth of knowledge and appreciated her insightful answers to all my questions. Then came my last visit... Not only did she yell at me for doing something that I thought was proactive in my healthcare (a bone density scan), she also tried to make me feel less than because I have a hard time finding motivation to exercise. Her words to me were very harsh and emotional as she accused me of wasting medical dollars and being lazy. I explained that osteoporosis runs in my family and I was trying to be proactive (the bone scan did show that I have the beginning stages of osteoporosis) but that changed nothing in her tone with me. I will never go to her again.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
