Dr nye damaged my optic nerve doing cataract surgery. He does not take responsibility for my damaged vision.this place is a factory.go someplace else else
Fui bem indicada ainda aguardo uma consulta com oftomologisra
The poorest eye care for my newly diagnosed glaucoma. I'm not ready to be without vision, so moving on. Details happily provided if asked.
I have utmost confidence in my doctor. My husband and I have been customers for years and have always had a good experience. Top Notch doctors and staff.
Worst service I have ever received in my 25 years of going to eye doctors. Person on the phone told me to come in without my Vision insurance card and that I could provide it at a later date. When I got to the office a man behind the desk was extremely rude, had an attitude, and kept rolling his eyes while on the phone trying to sort things out. Then proceeded to say that the guy on the phone with me earlier was “new and didn’t know better”. Will definitely not be returning to this practice. I understand the frustration but it’s not hard to be neutral when talking to a new patient.
What has happened to eye health services in Yarmouth? I cannot call without waiting for the massive amount of recordings to finish. All I want to do is check on an appointment. It's nearly impossible. Horrible to say the least. I have always likes eye health services but since they have teamed with OCB, they're not the same. I now need to go there personally to ask when my appointment is. Not happy about the change.
Not sure what ShaSha P.'s problem was, but I have been seeing Dr. Reed for well over a year. Yes, I have cataracts. I also have macular degeneration. He keeps me updated on the cataracts and I do not need surgery yet, although that time will come. He and his staff are always on top of my insurance, making sure referrals and medications are approved.I can ask any questions about my eyes and he and his staff are always honest and helpful. My mother also goes to OCB but sees a different doctor. She also needs cataract surgery, sooner rather than later, but they understand that she goes to Florida for the winter and have not pushed her to get the surgery done before she goes south. They agreed it is fine for her to wait until she comes back in the spring.I have NEVER had a problem with my doctor or the staff. Yes, sometimes they are incredibly busy, but when they are with me, it's about me and I have all their focus. I would and have recommended them.
Dr. Ney is a good doctor and friendly.
Went to Mass Eye and Ear today for a 2nd opinion on cataract surgery. This after being told by my local (Dr. David McQueen) eye doctor that he could not give me a prescription for new glasses because I needed cataract surgery instead. I asked if I needed it immediately as when I saw patients they all described having to wait until their cataracts were "ripe". He waved that idea away and referred me to Dr. Daniel Hu at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (OCB) in Hyannis. There they repeated all the tests and scheduled me for surgery without a hint that I had other options. This organization was so disorganized that instruction mailings, pre-surgical eye drops, etc never materialized. Each time I called because the dates were approaching and they had not held up their end of pre-surg preparation, I had to explain from the beginning why I was calling. One person even said, "I don't even find you on our surgical list". She was implying I was wrong, not that her list was wrong. I asked to speak to the manager; the first one listened to me and said that the "right person" would call me back to iron out the situation. That call never came. The mailings, etc. never came. But they charged my credit card right away. Given the poor communication and procedures, I eventually lost confidence in OCB and canceled my surgical dates. Of course, this prompted many calls from them but by this point, my trust was eroded beyond repair. They also promised to refund me the cost of my tests, but of course that never happened either. At today's visit at Mass Eye and Ear, they repeated all the same tests. The physician/surgeon/researcher that I consulted with stated that I did not need cataract surgery immediately but that I would need it at some point in the future. She was "mad" (her word) that I had been misled. Her analogy was "if your hip begins to hurt you don't immediately have it replaced". She stressed the inherent risks of any surgery and specifically for me with my Lasix history because I have a higher potential to not be happy with the lens that is chosen and could need additional work done. And guess what? She wrote me a new prescription and said "go get your glasses and I'll follow you now. She shook my hand as I was leaving and I asked, "so my instincts were correct?", "Absolutely." she replied.
Absolutely incompetent and insulting woman at desk. Don't waste your time...life is tough enough right now.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
