My wife (70 years old) was a patient of Dr Hood for a number of years through some very tough medical situations. Dr. Hood was always kind and professional and the only Dr. that my wife would see. Since the Dr. has changed to a cash only system and does not accept Medicare/Private insurance my wife is no longer able to see her. It has been a few years since her last check up as she does not trust any new doctor. I understand that fiscal decisions are a major factor in medicine today for the practice but I wish there was another way to prevent patients 'ageing out' of Dr Hood's practice when they may need her most.

For a Doctor to take care of patient's for years and many on fixed incomes, to abandon them because they want a CASH PAYING practice is totally WRONG AND UNETHICAL!! I HAVE LOST ALL AND TOTAL RESPECT FOR THIS OFFICE!

Dr. Hood is a dedicated practitioner that spends time with her patients. In this day and age of over aggressive insurance companies, Dr. Hood advocates for and stands by her patients. You couldn't ask for a better Doctor.

I have been seeing Dr Ottenstein for a little over a year now and she is very compassionate and involved in providing exceptional care. She is the best and in this day and age of medical care, that is rare. The staff at WFM is also professional and caring. I feel very fortunate.

I've been a patient of Dr. hood's for over 20 years and consider myself very fortunate to have her for my pop. I came upon Dr Hood when my previous dr.'s office was telling me that I wasn't a patient of theirs after going there for over 5 yrs! I was very sick and tried to get an appt with my dr. After multiple phone calls later I was told that they couldn't find any records on me. My niece suggested that I call her dr.(Dr. Hood), so I did and have been with her ever since. She is very kind and is very attentive to my needs, spending as much time as needed with me. I did give a low score on punctuality because many times you do have to wait , but I really don't mind because I know that she will be with me as long as necessary. She's very honest and sincere and doesn't force her suggestions on me if I'm not comfortable with something. At the end of every visit she always asks if there's any other issues that I might want to discuss.Her staff has always been very helpful, pleasant and is very quick to return my call.

Dr hood is a kind caring doctor been seeing her for years I feel like she is my friend and doctor very helpful just the best lady doctor there is in this area. Carol Downey Wrobleski

DR HOOD, Found her calling in Life ,I could not ask for anything more from a doctor,the staff as well they are all kind people,from the moment you step in the door. Thank you DR HOOD!!!!!!!!

After waiting a short while to be seen, I was examined. Although not extremely sick, I have the start of a cold that has been going around my house with symptoms ranging from pink eye to chest/throat infections. The nurse who saw me, said to continue trying to sleep, drink tea, and take Motrin.However, she allowed me to leave with a script, just in case I felt I needed it over the weekend. I left the office and dropped the script off in case I needed it filled later in the weekend, it would be easy to send someone to get it. I was told by the pharmacist that the script I was given is in the same family as something I am deathly allergic to.Why would she prescribe this to me? We talked about my allergies to meds. I was then relayed a message from the nurse through the pharmacist that if I needed something else I would have to go to a walk in or ER. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNOBSERVANT OF ALLERGIES. Perhaps time to change doctors.

I have gone to Dr. Hood for many year. She is kind and very caring. She is a great doctor. She takes the time to listen and to make a proper diagnosis. She runs a little late because she cares enough to talk to her patients not just get them in and out.
