List of Craig E. Kannel's Reviews
Absolutely the worst practice if you want to be treated like a human being. I have been a patient of Dr. Craig Kannell for over 20 years. In the past 5 years I have seen a slow and steady decline in the treatment of me as a patient. I used to feel like I mattered, and that my doctor had a real interest in my health and we'll being. Not anymore. It is now run as a factory. Kannell couldn't care less and just gives a fake smile as he ushers more and more clients through the door. Ask a personal question, and you get a generic answer. Finally, this morning, after a year long wait for my physical, which was scheduled for 8:30am, I visited for the very last time. The appointment was originally scheduled for 8:30am and I received a robo-call (they don't bother with actual human interaction any longer) last week confirming my 8:30 appointment. I arrived early at at 8:12 to wait for the doctor. I was told at this point "you were supposed to be here at 8:00". I explained that I was actually early. The receptionist then went back and spoke to the elusive "doctor" and came back saying "he says if you have a qustion for him, he'll try to answer it, but he has no time for your physical now." That's it. 20+ years as a patient. And he can't even poke his head around the corner to say hello. No apology for screwing up my appointment time. Nothing. It was like an oil change. I explained that I was VERY upset by this and I was going to find a new doctor. I was told to just go to the main hospital and get my records. Callous. Cold. Uncaring. And this is the culmination of YEARS of declining patient interaction and experience. They treat the clients like sheep and have a reputation with the local pharmacies as a "very difficult practice to work with". I have heard this from employees at both the CVS and Big Y pharmacies. If you want to feel like your primary care physician really cares about you, find another doctor. Find another practice. They absolutely couldn't care less here. Normally I would feel badly about writing a negative review, but others need to be warned. And I told this office I was going to write a review online. I was told to "have a nice day". I gave them the opportunity to make this right before posting. I always say "talk TO them before you talk ABOUT them". They weren't interested. Go somewhere else. I wish I had made a different choice 20 years ago. Now I'm 49 and starting over with a new doctor who knows nothing about me.
Saw this Dr back in the 90s through 2000. Found old medical records with labs saying I had a positive ana and borderline high tsh. He never said a thing about it back then. Found out I have Hashimoto's and thyroid cancer 3 years ago. If he mentioned this I could have found things sooner, prevented the Hashimoto's from doing what its done to me over the years and maybe could have caught my cancer that I had growing in me for years. Yes I still hold a grudge because he failed me as a Dr..
excellent and caring doctor with mediocre staff
Been a patient for Aprox 20 years. He he a dr that is prompt, yer I never feel rushed. He listens and provides the tools to improve or refer to another specialty as needed. I feel like I am in good hands knowing that this man pays attention to all details and I highly recommend
Smart, Fast, Polite, Better than most. He will not waste your time.
Whenever you call for instructions etc. you get the run a round from the staff. You can never get a straight answer. If the person answering the phone don't know the answer, they need to ask the nurse. If the nurse calls you back you are lucky. Most return calls to the patient never happens. He should fire all the staff and start over.
Dr. Kannel has been my pcp for 15 years now. He is a good, quality doctor. There are at least 4-5 doctors in the practice, so someone call always see you, if not him. I highly recommend him, and his staff.
Craig Kannel has been my primary care doctor for 15 years, since he first opened his office. Smart and efficient, Dr. Kannel orders the tests and referrals I need to nail down a diagnose. He's in my Top Five doctors (probably one or two) I've seen in the last 44 years (since age 18, including many USAF doctors).I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Kannel. In fact, I have...to my wife.
Your appointment is done very fast. If you have questions you better ask first because you are out before you know it. Followup with patient is poor. When he orders bloodwork, no one from the office follows up.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
