Dr. McCabe is an intelligent, skilled and compassionate ophthalmologist! He takes time to explain your condition and treatment options in a caring and professional manner. He doesn’t “dumb down” his explanations but speaks with you on an appropriate level. You are a part of treatment decisions and he explains what he is doing every step of the way in a sensitive and reassuring way!

My mom had a deteched retina. She has and is seeing DR. McCabe for the whole precedure, surgery and follow ups. This Dr is incredible. He answers all our questions and more. He has a great down to earth manner. I would suggest him to anyone who needs his type of service. Andrea L. Paquette

Dr. McCabe is one of the most intelligent and caring doctors I have ever met! He takes time to get to know you and your eye problems and explains your condition and treatment options to you without dumbing it down or talking over your head! He is compassionate, empathetic and a great listener! He is truly an expert in his field and is an excellent doctor!!

He is the best that you could find he is not just a great Doctor he is a fabulous person that cares about his patients as well as their family, he has taken my disable son for eight yrs already under his wings, there has been so many complications but at no time he has given up and always weeklong to try anything new as long is for my sonsBenefit we recommend him to everyone if you looking for the best look no more he is the one !

I moved to Dr. McCabe after a serious eye surgery that was treated by Mass Eye and Ear. I was extremely impressed with the doctors and the staff. Very kind and thorough. I was weary of leaving the big Boston hospital but am happy and comfortable with my decision.

I started having flashes in the corner of my left eye on Saturday and Dr. McCabe came in on a Saturday night to his office to examine me. He couldn't have been more helpful or more professional or more thorough--he took his time even though it was a Saturday night. This guy is one in a million.

I started having flashes in my eye on a Saturday, and he came to his office on Saturday evening to take a look at me--he was kind, professional, and thorough. This is a great doctor, who really knows what he is doing and cares about his patients. I wish all doctors were just like him.
