I was referred to Dr. Kass by my endocrinologist for a thyroidectomy consultation after being diagnosed with potential thyroid cancer. Dr. Kass explained my options thoroughly. He was very kind, calm and reassuring. I chose to move forward with a partial thyroidectomy based on his recommendations. The procedure and recovery were relatively seamless. I received great care at St. Vincent’s Hospital. The same day surgery team were personable and clearly very experienced. In my post op examination, I learned that it was thyroid cancer and Dr. Kass was able to successfully clear the margins with no evidence of disease. I would highly recommend Dr. Kass if you are facing a similar diagnosis.

Dr. Kass performed a total thyroidectomy on me approximately three months ago at Saint Vincent Hospital. He is genuine and personable, which made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. He answered all my questions thoroughly and cared about my personal concerns, worries, and fears which was very important to me as it was my first surgery. He helped put me at ease by explaining things every step of the way, from the first office visit for a consult, to seeing me in the pre-op holding area, to personally checking in with me at the hospital after having to spend the night for observation, to contacting me two days after discharge to make sure I was feeling good and healing well. It is clear that he truly cares for his patients and their recovery. Dr. Kass is confident in his specialty, which in turn made me confident in him.
