Dr. Paparello has saved my life more than 8 times now. I have been shot, stabbed, taken grenade shrapnel, had an aortic valve replaced (the surgery went wrong) had mycotic brain aneurysm, right knee surgery and 3 right shoulder surgeries and 3 strokes (I was 35 when this happened). I became addicted to opiates because of my pain ( from the VA not dr Paparello) and he saved my life by getting me off of them. He has saved my life when I acquired MRSA. He saved my life when my right lung collapsed and the plural fluid was crushing it. He came to see me EVERY morning at 500AM when I was in his hospital for a plural effusion that got infected. He saved my family and again myself. He is a world renowned doctor, I have been suffering from pain and multiple disability’s ( service related) for years and he was always been there when I needed him. Before anyone bad mouthes him you better get your ducks in a row. This man should teach young medical students how to be PROPER doctors. He upholds the highest standards of a physician. If I could give him some sort of a public honor I would but all I can do is defend him against the terrible uninformed people who are badmouthing him. If you want to attack him you better talk to me face to face first. ..... a person receiving care of his for life
I've been seeing him for 15 yrs. He is on time, knowledgeable, pleasant, & professional. Highly recommended!
Scott works with incredulous people at incredulous institutions. He is easily swayed by his colleagues (even if they are notoriously sickinthehead and openly committing insurancefraud). When he discovers that he must go “against the herd” in order to save a life (i.e. admit a patient against their sickodoctor’s advise), he’s unwilling to document damages. As a result, I have 6 consults with this man with little, if any documentation as to why. His office claims they did not keep a record of me while I was in acute crisis. He’s willing to be apologetic for mistakes, but never in writing and never an amends. Some people have confused this man for an LLMD. Don’t. He’s not. Not only is he not an LLMD, he’s barely an MD (except for the wealthy). Like his colleagues, who he outshines due to their profound Asperger’s (which is why he is a favorite in the Emerson Hospital area), I suspect addiction as an underlying issue. Otherwise, he wouldn’t stay in a system of blatant organized crime.
Lyme disease is a very political, highly polarizing topic in the United States. I called Acton Medical Associates and discussed with one of the nurses that I had been diagnosed with Lyme disease. At that very moment. His nurse made me send my lab results to the office before he would even see me in person. On the topic of Lyme, there are a plethora of controversies on what protocol of treatment to utilize and maybe even more polarizing, what kind of testing you chose. The Lab I used was very reputable. His nurse called me back a day later and told me that my lab said I did NOT have Lyme when it clearly showed it did. A thing of note to all of you out there who have Lyme; infectious disease doctors use protocol stamped out by the CDC which has done absolutely nothing over the last 3 decades to further treatment protocol regarding Lyme. It is high time for doctors and institutions like this to be exposed! Shame on the staff, shame on the doctor, shame on the CDC; people are SUFFERING, stop worrying about your bottom line!
Very thorough, He Listens.
Fast service with a friendly doctor. Plenty of parking in the rear.
His extensive multidisciplined background is perfectly matched with his deeply knowledgeable & well mannered personal character, making him equally as medically intelligent as he is pleasant and truly caring, as many others have experienced & some have detailed here. My first contact was due to a tick born (zonotic) condition that was not correctly diagnosed by other medical professionals, Ehrlichiosis can be difficult to identify unless, like Dr. Scott Paparello, one is well schooled and has a medical awareness far beyond the average currently out there in the medical field. His personal belief in excellence, not merely average or getting by is exactly what any patient would be blessed to have in a Doctor. As this condition, should it have remained misdiagnosed and then, not properly treated with tetracycline based antibiotic (most commonly prescribed tetracycline), has a very concerning mortality rate for those who, like me, had a certain recent deer tick bite (currently called the blacklegged tick; Ixodes scapularis) were demonstrating reflective symptoms according to the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Dr. Paparello was immediately on the ball, got the correct diagnosis, initiated treatment that was exactly in line with CDCs recommendations and was a terrific and most pleasant (clearly extremely knowledgeable) person. In these difficult times of chaotic and overburdened medical systems, it is such a rare and equally wonderful find to come upon such a Doc. Bravo sir, bravo! Thank you.
I have all the faith in the world for Dr Paparallo. He is interested and caring to meas his patient. I have received excellent care and do not ant to ever have to change doctors. I lived in Maynard when I first became his patient (my daughter knew of him from being employed at Emerson Hospital and she referred me to him) andhave since moved to North Andover. I still travel to Acton to see him (unless for an emergency, like closing my finger in the car door and needing immediate stiches). The peace of mind I get from Dr Paparallo is worth the travel time. He is listens and asks questions about my total life situation, showing concern for my total health. I would recommend Dr. Paparallo as one of the finest doctors that have treated me. I am 73 now and still consider him the best.
Dr. Paparello is a knowledgable and dedicated medical professional his D.O. discipline, allows him to think about the entire system vs. just the symptom. He is well respected by his patients and his medical colleagues.
practical, caring, best GP I have ever had
