I had what could possibly be a life threatening issue, coughing up blood that I went to Lahey Clinic for answers after it returned 2 months prior (after 2 strains of antibiotics). The fellow I consulted with was all in all very distracted, didnt listen, and not responsive to my needs, leaving me disappointed. I decided to stay because the director was very kind and attentive. It was ordered a bronchcoscopy with the caveat this fellow Dr. Islam wasnt part of procedure. Dr. ACash was to do scope. I told 3 separate people at Pulmonary I didnt want the fellow in room. Dr. Lamb told Dr. Acash it was my right to not have fellows in room. The day of scope, the fellow was there. Dr. Acash threw his hands up and said I need him in room to help with equipment. Im vulnerable on the stretcher, scared, to have scope put down my throat and this dr. Is not only angering me but scaring me that he didnt listen to my requests and my RIGHT. I fought the anesthesia I was so scared and it was an exp I wanted to leave. It felt like it was 1950 and the big hero of dr was in room and you just quiet yourself now and let us do the procedure. I refuse to go back to him or Lahey.
