This doctor is rude and didn’t listen to me when I described my back pain. He required me to bring images before I even saw him, but he wouldn’t order them for me. So how was I supposed to get images with no doctor’s order?! I ended up seeing a great surgeon and had a spinal fusion and have no pain today
Dr Dix is amazing. He knew exactly how I was feeling and going through before even speaking to me about my MRI. He understood my pain and completed a disk replacement in no time. I am only out of surgery for 4 days and these have been the best 4 days in a very long time. God bless Him and keep him safe while his hands help heal many others. If you have any reservations to seeing him please trust me that it will be the best decision you can make for your health and lifestyle. His office staff was very welcoming as well and his assistant called back within minutes every time for my many questions. Thank you Dr Dix
Awesome!!! Great doctor, Very professional and knows exactly what he is doing. Very patient and allows his patients to ask questions and share their opinions. He makes sure you understand everything he’s doing for you. God bless him. He gave me joy after I had my SI Joint and lower back surgery done by him. I could not do prolonged sitting, walking or standing for years.
The two stars is generous. He operated three times on me between 11/12 and 2/13. All of them were unsuccessful and I ended up with an L3 to S1 fusion that was called failed back syndrome. I have been seeing Pain Management doctors since the last operation, I have had a Nurostimulator implanted in my back, and I still only have around 40% pain relief. After six months I asked to have my handicap tag renewed, and the doctor said no. He said you should be healed after six months. This guy is pretty arrogant. Buyer beware.
Dr. Dix operate on me Valentine’s Day of 2006 Fusion of my lower back, the recovery took a while but what a wonderful report today I do CrossFit three times a week and I have no pain in my back thanks to Dr. Gary Dix
Dr Dix was the only one who found my problem and finally fixed it! I a went from not being able to put my shoes on to complete recovery. I am a show jumper back at competitive level! Thank you Dr dix and God bless.
Dr Dix and team are amazing and top notch!!! Great to deal with and very efficient. So grateful?
Dr Dix was recommended to me by a trusted friend. I have 100% confidence in him. He's professional, caring and has a wonderful manner. His explanations are understandable and he answers all your questions. He take time with you and you are never rushed through an appointment. Dr Dix has preformed 2 sacroiliac joint fusions that have healed beautifully without any complications. His staff is top notch! Rachel, his administration assistant is awesome. I highly recommend Dr Dix at the Maryland Brain Spine and Pain without any reservation!
Absolutely the BEST!! Treated me professionally and collegially with superb results that have been life changing for me over the last 5 years. I recommend him to any and all who ask me regarding neurosurgical care.
Very Poor. I called office for results of my testing and I also asked “Christina” to have Dr. Dix call me so I could discuss the test results. She refused to even ask the Doctor to call me! Go figure. Beware. The positive feedback you see on their website just may be posted by employees of the medical practice for which he works for!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
