I want to express my sincere appreciation for the professionalism and kindness exhibited by the staff, Chris and Judy as well as Dr Sayan himself during my visit yesterday. If going to the Doctor's office can ever be described as pleasant, this was the case. My wife and daughter accompanied me on this visit and it was their treatment in large measure that prompts this thank you
I had to have a small mass removed from my back. Dr. Sayan and his staff were all very kind and attentive. The entire procedure was explained thoroughly and I felt confident in having it done.
I never got to see Dr. Sayan because his office staff mistakenly approved my health insurance for my visit. When I arrived for my visit (after waiting outside in the 90 degree heat for 15 minutes due to Covid restrictions), the medical assistant took one look at my health insurance card and said "we don't take that insurance". This was 2 weeks after I had scheduled my appointment, was told by his office staff that they took my insurance and all was good to go. Extremely frustrating and disappointed!! Beware!!
Very first visit told me I chose the right doc...very open on information and not in a rush to go over my questions...good guy recommend
Double Inguinal Hernia Surgery for me-- and he's a surgeon's surgeon at it. I'd trust him to do great work again in a heartbeat. Years of hard weight training, moto-x crashes, heavy backpacking, lifting things that were too heavy-- I ended up with two inguinal hernias that I ignored for a long time, one of which got to be pretty big. Dr. Sayan was on point about his ability to fix them with laparoscopic surgery, he was straight up about what I needed to do on my part to ensure a successful recovery (don't work out for 3 months) and that'd I'd be swollen and sore for a few days. My operation was on a Monday morning and I was sore for a couple days (to be expected given how bad I let my one hernia get). I woke up Thursday feeling 80% better, still sore, but at that point I could tell just how good a job he'd done. Amazing. Perfect. From there, recovery was linear and I couldn't be more pleased. My lower abdomen is better than it's been since I was teenager. Zero pain ever.
Dr. Sayan was recommended to me by my uncle. Skin lipomas run in our family and I was the latest victim. I had this HUGE lipoma on my back that I pretended to ignore for the years and years. After my uncle had one removed he insisted that I go. I was very pleased with the level of information that I was given at my initial visit, and it was confirmed that I had the right doctor to remove it. Before and after the surgery he and his staff were the example of professional and accommodating. I never realized how much having that removed would make me feel better. Highly recommended!!!
Dr Sayan provided top notch care and his surgical expertise allowed me to heal faster than I expected to. Wonderful bedside manner. His staff is nice and really try to accommodate requests.
I mean I had one procedure with Dr. Sayan and it was unsuccessful, so I can't recommend him. Also though, he was very straightforward, quick, and not very personable during my initial consultation and didn't convey that he really cared all that much about anything, so the outcome wasn't too surprising. He also misdiagnosed an infection on the site of the biopsy during the follow-up, and so I took antibiotics needlessly for 3 weeks until a doctor at UMD told me "that's not an infection."
This is my first visit to Dr. Sayan. I was pleasantly impressed with their location so convenient to the Town Center in Parole and off of Riva road. Also behind my favorite physical therapist, chiropractor and massage therapist, Chiro 1st. The office is nice and modern, well appointed and decorated. The waiting area is a private room away from the front door, which is a nice touch. I waited an entire two minutes before being seen by the doctor. He's very upbeat, patient and thoughtful. Also has a sense of humor which is important to me. His staff is also very friendly but all business too. You can pay you copay online the day before your appointment and it's very easy. That is cool. Lots of paper work and it was just easier to print out and use a device called a "pen" to write by hand the answers to the questions they asked. You can also answer some online but he will refer to what you write on your first visit. So that is a good time to convey what you want him to know. You may not remember everything when consulting with him. I hope I don't have to see a lot of this doctor in the future but if you're in the market for a general surgeon, this is worth checking out. I think I got into the wrong line of work. That looks like something I would enjoy. I'll keep you posted on how things turn out! Cheers
After emergency surgery by hospital acute surgeons who did a colostomy procedure, I had a consultation visit with Dr.Sayan. I found him to be personable and caring with reassurance from him he would do his best to attempt to complete the reverse ostomy surgery arthroscopically . A surgery date was secured by his staff before leaving his office. I found Dr. Sayan to go out of his way to take care of any issue that arose and the reverse procedure was performed on time with wonderful results.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
