Arnel Tagle's Online Review Report Card

I went to see him for years and asked for an appointment and was told they might have one later that day or they might not, they weren't sure. I told them I was driving from the Eastern Shore and called 5 more times with very vague answers. I arrived and was told he was leaving early and couldn't see me. I understood but needed labs. I requested the labs. They asked him with and he said no. I requested they ask again and he said no again. I them told the front desk my very private medical needs in front of a full waiting room. I was humiliated. He gave me thee the lab slip. Next time I went I told him about the recurrence with an opportunity to address the bad experience I had, he said "there's a primary care doctor on every corner, why did you come back?" I left and did not return. How could he speak to me like that after almost 10 years of care.? Very disappointing!

Dr. Tangle was one of the most unprofessional individuals I have ever encountered in my life. He had immediate appointments available, so I decided to schedule an appointment for primary care. That should have been a red flag, all the doctors I was recommended were not accepting new patients for at least 9 months. Anyways, Dr. Tangle was rude and unpleasant, and at one point slammed his hand on the desk because he misspelled something and had to go back and change it. I was in shock the entire appointment and figured he was having a bad day, but his reviews say this is his usual demeanor. No eye contact. No follow-up questions. Very rude and seemed annoyed for no reason. I don't know why someone who doesn't seem to be a people person would want to go into medicine, but I for one will not be returning to see him. I will stay on a waiting list for another doctor that has better bedside manner and professionalism.

He is ruefully unprofessional, which leads to his inability to provide adequate care. He does not listen to the patient and is condescending and arrogant. I presented with severe back pain. He sent me to a surgeon to see about gallbladder surgery. My gallbladder was fine. Then he said maybe I needed psychological help. I said, I have back pain and you haven’t checked my back. Fortunately, I was able to schedule an appointment with another doctor within a day who sent me for an MRI that diagnosed my three herniated discs and treated me and my condition. He clearly doesn’t care about people or medicine. When I selected my new PCP, the receptionist said, “Wow! Another Dr. Tagle patient. You are the fifth previous patient of his this week!”

No doubt he knows his stuff. However, he has a nasty disposition. He is RUDE. He is disrespectful. He treats you like trash. After he upsets you. Then he takes your blood pressure. Then he adds more medication.

Dr Tagle is a very rude and unpleasant Dr , he makes our blood pressure high just thinking about going for a visit... I definitely would not recommend him to anyone unless you want to be talked down to and treated like you are not a human being... I’ve never been to such a rude obnoxious person before . I do not recommend him to anyone for anything !!!!!!!!

Dr Tagle might not be for everyone (judging by the reviews I’ve seen anyway!) but if you’re ready to listen to someone who is very passionate about having you take control of your health, I highly recommend him. I credit starting to see him as a PCP as when I started taking exercise more seriously, and I’m really grateful he was so straight forward with me about what I should be doing in terms of diet and exercise. He is also the closest you can get to boutique-style medical care - my husband was jealous of me on several occasions at the level of care Dr Tagle provided. I could always reach him through Mercy’s online platform, and if he had a follow up question he would immediately call me to make sure I got what I needed. I’ve since moved to Austin but I miss having Dr Tagle as my doctor! I seriously think about his guidance most times I run (which is three times a week, which wouldn’t have happened without his encouragement!)

Dr, Tagle is extremely thorough and very professional. He reviewed every detail of my many medical records prior to my visit and performed every test and exam one would expect on an annual physical. I've stuck with him ever since and look forward to seeing him. Dr Tagle has been extremely helpful in managing the best medications for me and stays on top of everything. He has also set me up for success in dropping my BMI without making me feel bad about being overweight. He truly cares about his patients. He explains everything in detail and offers helpful advice with subtle humor. The office staff is top notch as well! I highly recommend Dr Tagle!!
