List of Choice Pain And Rehabilitation Center's Reviews
The staff is so kind and professional! The doctor always helps me with my medical issues. Thank God for Choice pain!
So to start off, a PA runs this office (Bruce Abraham), who has a very combative attitude. He’s a middle eastern male who doesn’t really care and he said outright that he only prescribes up to 10 mg oxycodone only in this office and no Benzos. He said the doctor is ONLY in the Florida office and only comes here once a month to do injections. I recorded the entire visit and will post a link with him admitting all of this and showing his patriarchal, combative attitude. This dump (and it is a DUMP) is a TOTAL waste of time. I questioned how ethical this set-up is and he said that I’m “wasting my time” my questioning his credentials and how a real actual doctor only comes ONCE A MONTH from FLORIDA. Horrible attitude, he acted very dismissively, was completely rude and a cruel.
Thank you Dr. Nate for your excellent services. I really appreciate the way you take time to explain all that will take place during each visit. I also appreciate your professionalism. I feel very safe with Nate because he continues to practice covid and flu safety habits. Nate always gets his patients in and out in a timely fashion. Thank you for maintaining a decent and orderly doctors office from the front desk to the restroom. Most importantly, Dr. Nate is very knowledgeable in the field of medicine. He is also humble enough to double check with upper management if he doesn't feel 100% about a particular treatment plan. Dr. Nate is always clean in his appearance. He also believes in taking the safest and most honest approach as opposed to rushing you to have surgery. I feel very safe under Dr. Nates care. In fact, I feel so safe under his care that I would refer my mom to him. Trust me, that speaks volumes because I am extremely cautious when it comes to my mom's medical needs. Thanks, again, Dr. Nate for all the good that you do, sir. Sincerely, RF
Very hard to get direct communication with the office staff. Jessica need to GET GONE! There’s been a problem with my bill for months now without resolution. I was told, when I called to reschedule an appointment, that there was NO ONE else I could see because my NP was on vacation. I went 2 weeks without medication and went through withdrawal. That was not fun. Complete chaos. My NP and her office staff are kind and understanding, but that’s not enough…
If all you need is drugs, then they will be perfect for you. If you need an actual care provider, then look elsewhere. The in- person staff is respectful, knowledgeable, and supportive. If, however, there is a problem with the medication prescribed, then you are squat out of luck. There is no mechanism in place for a physician or nurse to help you with an adverse reaction for a month. The automated gatekeeper for calls will allow only for a message to be left. The problem is the staff, who respond to the message, appear to have no access to doctors or nurse practitioners to address issues with the medication prescribed. Patients are advised to either go to ER or urgent care for help with issues with medication if assistance is needed before the next monthly visit. When I specifically asked for my presciber to call me, I was blown off and never received a call. When the office assistant that returned my call the first time basically told me that I was on my own until the next scheduled visit, it was not hyperbole. She was serious. That makes no sense to me.
Be careful if you choose this vendor. When they make mistakes with your meds or talk to you about trying a new med, you will be unable to make adjustments for an entire month. Please use caution. There is no available support mechanism. You will be extremely hard pressed to speak with an actual person or medical professional.
I keep having the worse experience at Choice pain. It's mainly the staff that works at the Reisterstown office. It's two people that have always been very nice and friendly, but that office manager there is nasty and disrespectful! So many people complain about her and that office. When ever someone ask to speak to Dr. Shockley, they say he won't speak to anyone or they will not give him any messages. How professional is that? Most of the time the bathroom has no toilet paper or paper towels. That's nasty, especially because they only use that bathroom to get people's urine in a cup. There's rarely any soap in the dispenser. I hate having to go there, but I'm disabled and it's the only one that is close to me. And don't ever need a prior authorization for medication. You will be waiting forever if you don't stay on top of it. It's just sad how they treat people. Dr. Shockley has no idea that they always trying to push people out the door to other Doctors. Everything you get use to a Dr. or Nurse Practitioner, they end up leaving and going somewhere else. I've had about 8 different one's in two years. I called the operators that answer for them and they ask for your information. Little do people know, there's a note put under your file saying that you can't contact or speak to the head person uncharged, which is Dr. Shockley. Again, I ask you, how is that professional? I have been a patient there over 8 years if not longer. I wouldn't have ever chose them if it wasn't for them buying out and taking over my old Doctors office. I pray they fix the issues or that office won't have any patients or the patients may have no other choice but to protest outside that office! We just want to be heard and treated better and stop treating people like they are stupid and don't know any better! I was in the medical field for years. I know to run an office with my eyes closed. Get an office manager who knows how to talk to people and be more respectful and sympathetic and with some empathy.
If you have an emergency, you're screwed. It's like pulling your own teeth trying to get a live person on the phone. Frustrating as ever!
Was very professional ,clean and listened too me
Great advice , never a long wait , they work as a team that makes a complicated system smoother for me ✅

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
