I’ve received wonderful, caring & effective treatment from my TMS Doc (Dr. Claude Smith) for over 20 years. He’s relentlessly pursued an effective combination of therapies to get & keep me healthy. Bipolar, ADD & addiction plague me no more. I was in bad shape & now I’m thriving, thanks in no small part to Dr. Smith. I’m better every day, trusting, confidently in vigilant care from TMS. Dr. Smith is caring and listens to what you have to say. He is empathetic and has been my psychiatrist for many years.

I have been seeing Dr Smith fot years. HS always been great. He switched his office to Belvedere. The front desk girls are unprofessional and rude. I never missed an appointment and they suddenly said Ibwas discharged and couldn’t get a reason why? My mom also was his patient and because she was 3 minutes late, she couldn’t be seen. Live Dr Smith, always seen his associates. Very aggravated and life is hard enough then people have to act crazy and make you have to look for a new psychiatrist. I am very disappointed.

I’ve never met with a less interested doctor. He looked at his cell phone half the 15 minute initial appointment. He misdiagnosed me and didn’t listen to my concerns about a medication he prescribed. The worst experience I think I’ve ever had with a doctor.

Thats all I will say. Trust your gut, even if your therapist says your paranoid.

Dr. Smith is at a new location called "The Mandala Center" located in Belvedere Square. First of all, the office is beautiful and just a calming place to be. The staff is fun, outgoing, and caring. They really do try to have the patients best interests at heart. They offer a variety of services, not just behavioral health but wellness as well. Hypnosis, acupuncture, massage, yoga, and they accept Medicaid for not only behavioral health but go beyond and offer discounted classes for around $5 for acupuncture and yoga which are normally $120 and $20 per class. I have never seen anything like it. As for Dr. Smith, he is engaged with his patients, he listened to me, and didn't seem to mind that I cried through the entire first session, very empathetic. I would highly recommend him and the center. I called for an appointment and was told it would be until the end of May...they called me and moved me up to a sooner appointment about two weeks after my initial call to them. To say the least I am impressed by The Mandala Center and just purchased a Groupon for a 60 minute massage for $60. What a great place for all of your wellness and mental health needs.
