List of Clifford Jeng's Reviews
Dr.Jeng is the best. Took great care of my injury and kept me well informed on what to expect. Thank you Dr. Jeng.
After 10 months of seeing a podiatrist who further damaged my foot and an orthopedic doctor who wasn’t qualified to handle the surgery, I was recommended to Dr. Clifford Jeng at Mercy Hospital. Dr. Jeng explained that he could take away my pain and enable me to walk properly again. The outpatient surgery took place at The Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy in Baltimore, Maryland where all employees were extremely happy to be part of the team. Dr. Jeng performed five different procedures during the surgery and I went home to heal. After following Dr. Jeng’s instructions precisely, I was walking normally after five and a half months and am still in great shape after ten months. I currently have returned to normal activities, am experiencing little to no swelling and, of course, no pain. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Jeng for having the forthright knowledge, expertise and bedside manner while healing my wounds.

I saw Dr. Jeng for the first time in December 2021 for right ankle injury. He was very understanding and explained everything completely. I had surgery on 02/22/2022 at the Mercy Hospital. All the staff was amazing, it made for a great experience. I have had all my follow ups at the Glen Burnie location. The staff have always been very pleasant and a pleasure to communicate with. Dr. Jeng knows what he is doing and is a wonderful doctor. I have recently been released from his care due to being fully back to normal since my surgery. No pain or issues at all and I am grateful that he got me back to normal. I will definitely recommend him to anyone!
I ruptured my right achilles tendon but did not seek treatment for a couple of months as I thought it was a sprain. Dr. Jamrock referred me to Dr. Jeng and everything could not have gone more perfectly. Dr. Jeng diagnosed and described the procedure and healing in precise terms and everything occurred as he stated. This was my first surgery and at almost 60 years old I am back to my regular routine after only 3 and a half months (with directions to get back to squats and lifting after 6 months). I definitely recommend this Doctor and the fantastic staff and facilities of Mercy Hospital. There are none better!
Great Doctor caring and friendly bless you on your journey
My husband was hurt at work in July-2019, sought medical treatment immediately for a broken ankle & leg, and after 7-months of no improvement, and still in pain, in February-2020, he finally received authorization to seek a second opinion and he found Dr. Jeng. If only we did our research from the beginning. Dr. Jeng did extensive testing only to find out my husband was still walking around with a broken leg. Surgery was scheduled for March but due to Covid, it was delayed until May. My husband obviously had many visits with Dr. Jeng, and never once did he ever second guess what Dr. Jeng told him. He was beyond impressed with his mannerism, his patience, and not to mention his knowledge and honesty. As many visits as my husband had, Dr. Jeng never rushed him, he listened to him, and answered all his questions. He never made my husband feel like he was just a #. Dr. Jeng performed 5 procedures on my husband’s ankle and leg, a 5-hour surgery, and thanks to Dr. Jeng’s expertise, my husband was able to return to work in January-2021. My husband has the utmost respect for Dr. Jeng, and should he ever have another ankle [or foot] injury, he plans to return to Dr. Jeng. In addition, if anyone mentions foot or ankle pain/injuries, my husband tells them ‘Dr. Jeng @ John’s Hopkins is your man😉”. Lastly, kudos to Dr. Jeng’s team. Everyone from the receptions to the nurses, etc., could not have been more pleasant. Aside from the actual injury, my husband’s experience could not have been any better!!! Oh, and this is the only Drs. Office that we have ever visited where you do not sit in the waiting room for hours. If you have an 8:00 o’clock appt, you’re put in a room at 8:00, and the wait time to see Dr. Jeng is minimal!!
BEWARE!!!! He’s rude! He’s condescending, he has no bedside manners, his office takes forever to call you back! His staff is not friendly, very unprofessional, and incompetent! Highly disappointed and dissatisfied! This ”doctor” Jeng proceeded to tell me that he could not do any operation on my ankle that was collapsing, for at least three months… All because my father, who drove me all the way to my appointment, which was an hour away, decided to smoke one cigarette in the car with me while the windows were down. This caused Jeng to “smell cigarette smoke“ and deny me any operations for at least three months! I do not smoke so why would I wait three months?!?!? I do not recommend him or his office for anything! They got a big F!!!! In my book!!! If I could give a “0 star rating” I would!!!!! This website would not let me say how I really felt!!!
I went to see Dr Jeng for a second operation on my right ankle which had been operated on a year before. I had broken it in 3 areas. My tibia and fibula was not healing correctly and some on the pins were coming loose. The first doctor told me the only solution to correct this would be fusing my ankle. When I saw Dr Jeng he was very understanding and listened to my concerns. He totally repaired my ankle and helped the two bones heal properly aligned and fixed my Achilles heel. He also added extra ligament to strengthen the area . . He is very understanding and compassionate. Dr Jeng was always patient and answered any questions I may have had .
Making the trip to see Dr. Clifford Jeng was well worth the 120 miles each way. Prior to my surgery, I was unable to walk reliably without experiencing sudden sharp pain in my ankle. After my surgery, I became a Professional Tour Guide and some days walk 10-13 miles. Dr. Clifford Jeng is a excellent communicator shown through his explanation of the problem, the recommended surgery, the expected recovery, and the follow up. He never left an appointment without being certain I had no further questions. Thank you for giving me my active lifestyle back!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
