David P. Buchalter's Online Review Report Card

I saw Dr. Buchalter when my ortho surgeon was out of the office and I had to remove the sutures. After a 2 hour wait, the doctor came in, and the only thing he asked was why I was seeing him when I had another doctor. After I explained, he said okay, left, and never came back. A nice male nurse carefully removed the sutures and I was told to make another appt, not to see the doctor personally, but to see his MA. Why would I do that when I can see the actual surgeon for my post-op follow-ups? I needed X-rays which had to be examined by a surgeon and hear what they have to say. Why would I go to a middle person who would then transfer the info to the doctor and then get back to me... what a waste of my time. I made an appt with my doctor who spent time with me personally. He is not famous enough yet to just appear as a cameo and delegate all the care to assistants. Dr. Buchalter is sort of a celebrity whose assistants take care of mundane stuff, like patients. Not what I'm looking for.

I had torn meniscus surgery and Dr. Buchalter did a great job. He is very knowledgeable, courteous and professional and he answered all of my questions. I highly recommend Dr. Buchalter

As a five year patient with Dr. Buchalter, I highly recommend him as an orthopedic surgeon. He is always ready to guide you as you contemplate surgery, answering all your questions, never pushing you beyond your comfort zone. He replaced my right knee expertly and I was walking around soon after surgery.

Dr Buchalter is my favorite orthopedic doctors he’s been taking excellent cate of me for over 24 years. He’s patient understanding and kind. Plus he’s the only one I allow to call me by my entire name. I would highly recommend him and have.

Dr. Buchalter was very easy to talk to. I was not rushed in any way and was able to ask all of my questions. Very aimable, knowledgeable and thorough. Would definitely recommend.

Will definitely recommend Dr. Buchalter’s services 110%, I can only say good things about him. Bedside manner is great, very few that will take time to listen to you and create individualized treatment plan. Because of Covid precautions, no one is allowed to be with you unless necessary, so he allowed for my husband to call in to be part of the conversation. Dr. Buchalter is very professional, kind and understanding,the kind of physician you want to care for you. More power to the practice! Stay well and safe to all staff!

I have been seeing Dr Buchalter the past 6 plus years after developing osteoporosis arthritis in my knees. He was very professional and relayed to me all of my options and different solutions that would help me make my decisions. I made the decision to have my left knee totally replaced based on his input and knowledge. Results were awesome, the procedure he performed was flawless and recovery was great. My right knee is now at the point we’re I have chosen to have it replaced. Dr. Buchalter is the only one I would choose to preform the surgery replacement. By the way, I live in Delaware and have no qualms about traveling 2 1/2 hours to see Dr. Buchalter and his team. If fact, no matter where I lived, I would not hesitate going to Dr. Buchalter as my Doctor. Thank you Dr. Buchalter, be seeing you soon. Joel Lichtenberg

I had knee replacement surgery performed by Dr. Bachalter in September of 2020. I cannot say enough good about him, the team at OrthoMaryland and the physical therapy component of the practice.

Don’t let this man touch you. He’s a terrible surgeon with horrific outcomes. His infection rate is through the roof. Not sure where all of these positive reviews are coming from. Pretty much everyone that works with him can recite horror stories about his poor patients.

Dr. Buchalter is a polite and considering Doctor. He answered all my questions with concern about what is best for me.
