Dr. Volkell is THE best doctor I have! Out of all of the dr's I've ever had, he is the best. (And due to many health issues, I see a lot of dr's!). I started seeing him last year. I remember calling and asking for the first possible neurologist that could see me and it was Dr.Volkell. I never feel rushed during an appointment and he takes his time explaining everything. I haven't been feeling well for a few months now. I first saw my regular dr who ran some blood work and everything was normal. I still felt off and newer concerning symptoms started, so I sent a message to Dr. Volkell on my patient portal and within an hour, he called me back. And he ordered more blood work. The blood work showed that I had really low iron levels and need IV iron infusions. And this is most likely the reason why I've been exhibiting these symptoms. He went even farther stating that after the infusions, he'll order more blood work. And if my iron levels are normal, but if I still have some of the same symptoms, he'll run even more tests to figure out if it's something else. He exceeded ALL of my expectations. He went above and beyond- I've never had a doctor do that for me before. Hands down best doctor :)
