List of Gregory Gasbarro's Reviews
Dr. Gasbarro and his staff were very helpful before, during and after my procedure. The surgery was successfully completed and the level of pain and discomfort were very minimal both immediately following and throughout PT. I highly recommend him to anyone that needs his services.
I am very grateful to Dr Gasbarro. After my initial injury, x-rays were taken however the fracture was not caught. I had a follow up visit at a different facility and unfortunately the fracture was missed again. I was in PT progressing well because we assumed it was a muscle tear not a broken bone. After a month of PT, I scheduled an appointment with Dr Gasbarro. He caught the fracture immediately, and without his diagnosis I would have continued in PT and hurt my shoulder more, potentially requiring surgery. Dr Gasbarro was really attentive and most importantly he wanted to avoid surgery unless absolutely needed. I can't thank him enough

Hands down the best surgeon ever did a awesome job on my shoulder had no complications
Dr. Gasbarro performed surgery on my right shoulder and bicep in May of 2021. After years of not being able to sleep comfortably on my right side as well as random pain in my shoulder, I am finally able to sleep throughout the night. I had no issues post surgery outside of the typical pains of any operation. I elected to not do any formal physical training and opted to do all stretching and strengthening on my own. This requires you to be fully committed to Dr. Gs guidelines and your own physical health and training. I didn't experience any setbacks or concerns. I am pleased to say my right shoulder and bicep feel amazing and even better than my left side. I highly recommend Dr. G if you are considering shoulder surgery. The experience was great even down to the music selection in the operating room.
Nothing but a positive experience from start to finish...I saw Dr. Gasbarro because I had reoccurring shoulder dislocations. I had already received one opinion but wanted a second and I am so glad I got one from Dr. Gasbarro. Dr. Gasbarro decided to have contrast added to the MRI which did not occur with my first opinion. Found out I tore my labrum 360 degrees (not partial tear/strain as previously diagnosed). Dr. Gasbarro went over his plan for surgery and was very open and personable. Had surgery on Feb. 21st 2020. Surgery went well and was just as described by Dr. Gasbarro. It has been almost 3 months since surgery and recovery has gone well. No lingering pain, range of motion is improving steadily and I have no fear of dislocating again. I will edit this with a follow up in 2-3 more months when I should be 100% cleared. A great experience so far. If you are questioning who to see for your shoulder, the answer is Dr. Gasbarro. UPDATE - I never posted my 6 moth post surgery update. I recovered fully with 100% range of motion. I was back to normal and enjoying life. Then it happened again, to the same shoulder, in June 2021. Playing the same sport which caused my initial injury, I managed to damage my shoulder again and this time it was much worse. I basically ran full speed into a tree with my arm extended and locked in place, it blew out the back (or at least that's what it felt like). That accident would have damaged my shoulder, prior surgery or not. So no fault of Dr.G on his previous work...Through a few consultations and review of symptoms we decided to pivot and not repair my new tear (on top of labrum) and instead remove my bicep going over my shoulder (biceps tenodesis). This decision was based on symptoms and pain that I was feeling throughout my range of motion. Somehow the original surgery held and that portion of my labrum was in good condition (confirmed during second surgery)...Removing the bicep would alleviate the pain and the tear at the top of the labrum could stay without causing me future pain as well as maintaining the stability in my shoulder. I was skeptical if this would work at first....Well, my second surgery (bicep tenodesis) was on October 21, 2021. Surgery went very smooth. recovery was easier and back to PT I went. Now it is 6 months later (June 2022) and I can happily say that I am in the best shape of my life (35 y/o), very close to full mobility and no shoulder pain...Dr. G knows what he is doing and is very good at it. I recommend 10000%.
If you are in need of shoulder surgery, I would highly recommend Dr. Gasbarro. In November of 2021, he repaired a torn rotator cuff and bicep tendon in my right shoulder. Six months later, I am almost pain free and have good range of motion. He is very skilled and has a great bedside manner. He is a very personable young man. Best of all, I was able to have my surgery in a surgi-center in Towson and see Dr. G. at his Overlea office instead of having to go downtown to Mercy Hospital.
I had surgery 3 months ago on my shoulder to remove some arthritis and to repair some damage. It is now almost 100% back to normal. I am able to do things with my arm that I haven't been able to do for over a year. I feel great. The staff are wonderful and have gone out of their way to work things out for me. The exercises/instructions to do after surgery were clear and concise and made recovery better. I am very pleased with my whole interaction: pre surgery, surgery and post surgery.
After many years of suffering with shoulder pain due to a fall, I finally decided to contemplate shoulder surgery. I first met Dr. Gasbarro in mid-2021. He recommended and performed a reverse shoulder replacement. This surgery took place in October, 2021. After recovery and several months of physical therapy, my range of motion is much more than I ever imagined. As of April 1, 2022, I am virtually pain-free!! I look forward to many years of retirement enjoying activities such as fly fishing, kayaking and pickle ball. I have nothing but kudos and accolades for Dr. Gasbarro! His surgical expertise is certainly worthy of your consideration if you are thinking of having shoulder replacement surgery.
I’m on my wife’s account lol because I don’t normally do this but for Dr Gasbarro I am. My name is Jason Price and Dr Gasbarro did my rotator cuff and bicep tendon surgery. I was in a car accident when the injury happened and could no longer lift my arm properly long story short other dr’s told me I just had tendonosis.I did 2 rounds of physical therapy and had 2 cortisone shots but nothing worked. I got a second opinion from Dr Gasbarro he found the tear in my rotator cuff and the problem with my bicep tendon. He told me he was confident in fixing it and I appreciated his candor through out the process. The surgery went perfect HE CALLED ME THE NEXT DAY and I couldn’t believe it because he is in the city and really busy but he took the time to call me personally to check up on me. I was out of the sling in 4 weeks and off to physical therapy shortly there after now I can lift my arm with no pain. Thanks doc you did a fantastic job.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
