List of Jack Flyer's Reviews
Absolutely love this guy. Such a warm and friendly Dr who really cares and is so personable.
Dr. Flyer was totally unprofessional. Spent most of my meeting asking me how I got his email---something that was given to me by his assistant and on his website. Kept me waiting over two hours. Did not examine me and stated otherwise in his notes. In person told me my ECG was fine; when I got the result it was otherwise. Diagnosed me with a condition he had already written and told me I did not have. It was a disaster. Almost as though he had a mental health issue.
At my first stress test (Oct 2021) Dr. Flyer took a personal call on his cell phone during the test. I had a 2nd stress test a year later. I was having AFIB episodes with more frequency. I also had pretty severe shortness of breath & feeling awful, all of which was reported to Dr. Flyer. He was unimpressed with my symptoms and sent me home with no next steps other than another stress test in 1 year. My AFIB and shortness of breath got worse. I told Dr. Flyer in early December that my shortness of breath was "severe," and that I continued to feel awful. Dr. Flyer was again dismissive, telling me to "wait it out." 3 weeks later I went to the ER because of how bad I felt. I was told for the first time that I had acute congestive heart failure. I feel rage everytme I tell the story. I don't know why Dr. Flyer wasn't more curious about the cause of my symptoms. As I reflect on the last 16 months, it is clear that I should have heeded the earlier red flags.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Flyer’s for the last 15 years and couldn’t imagine a better, more thorough, or more compassionate cardiologist! He listens carefully, recommended comprehensive testing which gave clarify to my symptoms, and genuinely cares. I highly recommend Dr. Flyer; he is just the best..
Hard to get a person on the phone. No one returns your calls.
Efficient and responsive. Very capable staff
Saw Dr. Flyer in 2018 off a referral from my GI because I was frequently fainting with no discernible cause. Dr. Flyer's office took an echo, and when it came back normal, it was like the whole staff totally checked out. When Dr. Flyer came in to talk to me, he didn't ask me a single question about my symptoms - he just looked at my echo, told me it was normal, and said that "some young women just faint." Luckily my GI had also referred me to a neurologist for the fainting, who did a comprehensive work up and actually listened to me describe my symptoms. The neuro was able to quickly determine it was a B12 deficiency. I've been on B12 shots ever since and the fainting has completely stopped. Can't imagine how long I would have suffered from dangerous and frequent fainting spells if I had only seen Dr. Flyer.
Dr. Flyer is great. He treated my husband and me during and after our heart attacks and I can't imagine anyone more competent and caring. Wonderful personality and professional demeanor.
There are so many things I could say about this doctor...none of them being good. Like one of the other reviewers I am truly surprised that this doctor has any good reviews. My husband came to him concerned about palpitations he had been having since July of this year and walked out with a diagnosis of HCM. This doctor didn't communicate well especially after giving a diagnosis of HCM which is a serious condition. My husband was very anxious following his appt. and his main concern - the palpitations - was not being addressed. My husband wore a zio monitor for a few days to track his heart and when it took awhile to hear the results I contacted medical records at the doctor's office to have them sent to us. They never were and instead we received a two sentence email from the doctor saying that there were just a few extra beats detected "not concerning" and no arrhythmias. We got a second opinion and that doctor said arrhythmias were DEFINITELY detected by the monitor...very scary..
Dr. Flyer is friendly, thorough and communicates clearly. I recommend him highly.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
